On entering mass on sunday to the whispers of 'jesus wept' and agast stares at my startling physical beauty it turns out that infact jesus WAS up there weeping on the cross at my divine appearance... on one hand i felt honoured, then after some thought i'm pretty sure he's jealous of me as well...

I get jealous but not for any length of time....it's just a fleeting feeling.  Like seeing a skinny girl with a gorgeous dress on and being jealous that I'm not skinny enough (at all) to wear it!

If we look at Maslow's hierarchy of needs which I believe, although I studied this a long time ago, was a pyramid containing Sex, and Drugs, and Rock and Roll, it would be normal to be jealous of anyone getting more of these than us.

My jealousy is more likely to show itself over relationships or friendships

I never used to be jealous until I met husband no. 3. He kept leaving in the first year of our relationship for fear of commitment. Then we moved in together, everything was fine, apart from me feeling insecure. After 10 years of arguments just because he would look at another women and then being beaten up for it (not him, me), I managed to rescue my self esteem. Met a great bloke a year after, much more of a free spirit than my ex and never felt jealous once.

Oh, then no  I don't worry about anyone stealing my OH. They'd give him back quicker than they took him!

I have experienced it in all it's forms. Mild through to intense. Not for a while though!

I honestly can't think of any time I've been either jealous or envious. Not that I'm claiming to be particularly virtuous, just really can't think of any time I've ever had reason to be.

I've never been jealous...but I've been on the receiving end of it, it's destructive and makes life hell for those that suffer from it and those on the receiving end.
