Day 2: In your head task

They've already completed one task today but Big Brother isn't going to let our celebs  kick back just yet, there's a second challenge for our new crew. They've spent 24 hours locked together, but have they really been getting to know each other?

The four pairs still tethered together will be called to the Diary Room. One will be blindfolded and given headphones stopping them seeing and hearing anything. The second will be given a series of questions and asked to predict what their other half would answer.

Once they have given all their answers, their partner will be tasked with giving an honest response to each question.

The twosome that gets the most matches will be declared the winners and be handed their key to allow them to go their separate ways. Not only that, but they will earn themselves immunity from the first eviction.

11.07pm: Ollie's in the Diary Room, possibly just enjoying the peace and quiet

11.09pm: Casey, Lee and Sam are sitting on the sofa opposite Jasmine. It looks like Jasmine's having a meeting with HR

11.13pm: Lee has a great pitch for a horror film, apparently. If Jasmine lets him speak, we might find out what it is

Day 2: Is the House of love splitting up?

It's early days but we could well be seeing the first sniff of a two distint factions in the House.

As Day 2 draws to a close, there's both a garden party and a kitchen gathering going on. Jim has dubbed the guys in the garden – including Lee, Casey, Dappy and Jasmine – 'The Kids'. They're enjoying a glass of wine and having a good old giggle.

Jim, Linda, Lionel, Ollie and Liz are making up the gang in the kitchen. We'll dub them 'The Grown-ups' for now.  Gathered around the dining table and perched on the kitchen counter, they've discussed such hot topics as international politics, veganism and The Nolans.

They are also holding something of a mutual appreciation society, with Lionel claiming, "I couldn't be cuffed to a nicer person." Bless. The Nolans have also been proclaimed, "bigger than the Beatles."

Sam's been hanging out with BB in the Diary Room but where are party girl Luisa and boxing legend Evander? They're in bed! Don't get carried away, we've not got the scoop on the preliminary stirrings of a CBB 2014 showmance, she's staring at the ceiling and he's perusing the rulebook.

It's early days and we're yet to see our first fight, so anything could happen. You'll just have to stay tuned and wait for the fireworks.

Day 2 Round-Up: Block Party

Well, things are warming up quite nicely.

Day 2 had a sleepy start as the housemates settled in and negotiated the fine art of showering while handcuffed. However, a new task brought some focus to proceedings. This centred on The Building Blocks Of Celebrity. The housemates were presented with a series of building blocks – Talent, Cosmetic Surgery, Money Problems, Public Break-Up, etc - with which to build a tower to represent their personal level of celebrity.

They had to select a building block and tell the story behind it. Dappy’s story about his infamous selfie was followed by Evander talking about becoming the Heavyweight Champion Of The World. Similar levels of achievement there...

The idea was that the pair with the highest tower would win, but countless amusing anecdotes later, each pair had the same number of blocks. Consequently, they had to decide amongst themselves who had told the most interesting anecdotes. Jim and Linda won, thanks largely to a genuinely grim story involving Jim, curry and the Bay City Rollers.

Meanwhile, Dappy continued to make himself at home, treating himself to a nice bath, with his hat on, beer in hand. There were no other hat-wearing, beer-drinking baths to report, but Jim and Lionel did give Ollie some useful career advice.

The other major incident was a second “uncuffing”. Jasmine and Sam were voted the pair to have bonded the most over the first 24 hours. This was a well-deserved reward for Sam’s heroic patience during Jasmine’s repeated comedy pratfalls, and she was rightly delighted to be free. Jasmine was excited too, although that was thanks to the additional reward of some cocktails. It wasn’t all good news for Sam and Jasmine, however, she also had an eight-legged problem to deal with.

All in all, the housemates had a nice day with no major disagreements. It’ll never last...

8.05am: G'morning, ! All of our new pals are asleep on the day of rest. Who can blame them?

8.11am: A dry start to the day here in Elstree, HMs can expect clouds with the chance of heavy rain in the afternoon. Woo. Yay.

8.26am: Sam just rolled over in her sleep and nearly pushed bedmate Jasmine off the mattress. Careful now.

8.45am: All quiet in the bungalow. There's not even the sound of any snoring. This is quite unusual.

9.00am: We have a snorer. We've currently got our snooze experts analysing whether or not it's coming from Jim or Evander.

9.20am: Still all asleep! Surely it's breakfast time soon? Did you lot have anything nice for the first meal of the day?
