Day 22: The calm before the storm

It's eviction night, so how are the nominated housemates behaving in the run-up to the upcoming departure?

Linda: This is Linda's first time up for eviction, and she's made a point of saying how much she wants to stay. On several occasions, she's told her fellow housemates what a good time she’s having. She has also spent a fair chunk of her day reminiscing, talking about Evander, Jasmine, Lionel and Liz. But will she be seeing any of those guys later tonight?

Lee: The boy from Blue has survived an eviction before, but he's still taking no chances. He's been more helpful in and around the kitchen than ever before, and has made several references to himself being a good housemate. In fact, he made such an effort that some housemates suspected that he was undertaking a secret task.

Jim: This is old news for Jim, and he shows no signs of changing. However, he did lose his cool just a touch during the selfie task, refusing to pose for a picture of 'The housemate you most want to be evicted'. "You all nominated me anyway, so why bother?" He had a point.

Luisa: Another seasoned eviction veteran, Luisa hasn't been notably different. She says what she thinks, and takes every opportunity to remind everyone of that. She was upset that Dappy had nominated her, but they have since kissed and made up. Luisa has also repeatedly claimed that she'll be the one to go tonight, but does she mean it or is she saying that just in case?

Ollie: After his little tantrum about being nominated, Ollie has calmed down and resumed his role as Mr Nice Guy. He's staying up the latest, dishing out the massages, being ever more tactile. He's the only nominated housemate who hasn't made regular claims that he'll be the one to go. Are the others just bracing themselves for eviction, or is Ollie being over-confident?

We'll have to wait and see. Tune in to Channel 5 at 9pm to find out.

Day 22: BB gives the selfies a thumbs up

Earlier today, Big Brother challenged the housemates to pout and pose their way through a series of selfies to win a special treat.

It was a sterling effort and they created selfies that even Miley Cyrus would be proud of – we particularly enjoyed a harmonious Liz and Jim acting as sexy backing dancers for 'badboy' Dappy. Though we do warn you to view with care because once you've see it, you can't unsee it.

For doing such a fantastic job, Big Brother rewarded the housemates with afternoon tea, including scones, clotted cream, sandwiches and tea. "Oh that's delightful," Luisa cried upon seeing the table of treats.

Ollie, however, was sceptical. Eyeing up the offerings, he said, "Something isn't right... Are they made of animals?". No Ollie, just your average egg, milk, sugar, and the obvious rest.

As a second treat, Big Brother showcased their selfies via the big screen in the living room, which was met with chuckles all around.

They're having such a good time, they've almost forgotten about an important event happening this evening...

Having spent the morning readying themselves for their close up in the Selfie task, our housemates have been given a second challenge on the day of the fifth eviction.

Big Brother has decided the gang could benefit from getting a few things off their chests and has employed an agony aunt, in the shape of Jim, to undertake the task.

Not everyone was too impressed by BB's choice of sounding board but housmates are preparing to troop to the lodge, one-by-one, to pick up some advice from Jim.

They can share any worries and problems with the controversial comedian and he in turn will attempt to help solve their issues.

Will Jim settle troubled waters or will this task be pure agony? We'll keep you updated.

Linda has been evicted!

Linda has been evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother House

She entered the House hand-cuffed to Jim Davidson, so it’s fair to say things could only get better.

That said, her relationship with Jim started quite well, as they bonded over a secret task. Linda and Jim bonded well enough, but Dappy wasn’t particularly impressed. And though they started well, Linda and Jim’s relationship quickly soured. She just didn’t like him, and she wasn’t the only one.

Soon enough, their squabbles became a feature of the House. Jim apologised one minute, but then upset her again the next.

However, they did agree on some things. As the House Mum and Dad, they did on occasion give their β€œchildren” a stern talking to. But, inevitably, their frustrations were soon turned back on one another. There was no doubt that Linda thought these problems were Jim’s fault, and no doubt that Jim thought the complete opposite, but what did their housemates think? Asked for their opinion, Ollie and Sam sided with the Nolan.

Linda wasn’t impressed, however, and nominated Ollie the next day, saying he needed to grow a pair. Her words, not ours. This upset Ollie enormously, but ever the diplomat, Linda explained herself and they were friends again.

But that wasn’t enough to save her, and Linda’s time in the House is up. She’s been a good friend to all but one of the housemates, and great entertainment for the rest of us. Thank you, Linda, we hope to see you again soon.
