Jasmine has been evicted and the housemates are getting used to life without the not-so-quiet American. The much-awaited twist saw Jasmine surprise everyone by sparing Linda and Casey from Friday night’s eviction, which made Casey’s night just about perfect.

The post-eviction relief was palpable, as the housemates cracked open the champagne and congratulated themselves on surviving this long. "I’ve had the most wonderful time," noted Lionel, clearly forgetting the 'Most Annoying Room In The World' and his stand-up row with Luisa. Jim cooked everyone dinner and it was all smiles. Even Linda couldn’t help but compliment Jim on his stir fry.

Could it last? Of course not. Within the hour, Jim had stormed out of the kitchen, calling Linda all sorts of names. "When it’s just us, she’s fine," he complained, "but as soon as the other girls turn up, everything changes."

Meanwhile, Casey did little to conceal her delight at Jasmine’s departure. Linda told her she’d handled the situation with dignity and class, and Casey modestly agreed. Meanwhile, Lee was initially sad and wished he could be with Jasmine to look after her, but he was soon back in the swing of things, giggling away with the boys.

Jim and Linda aside, the atmosphere in the House is good. The other three nominated housemates were suitably relieved to have been reprieved, and everyone was happy to have the task of nominating someone for the next eviction taken out of their hands. But what of our recently-evicted housemate? The conversations have been many and varied, but very few have mentioned Jasmine.

1.38am: "Jasmine's a lovely girl, but I feel I can relax now" says Casey, pouring herself another glass of champagne

1.42am: Dappy: "You're officially my favourite person in the House." But who was he talking to? It was... Jim

1.47am: The HMs are all singing and dancing in the garden. All except Jim, who is hiding from Linda in the Diary Room

1.51am: Surviving the eviction has done wonders for Liz. She's said more tonight than in the first twelve days put together

1.55am: Sam has climbed into a basket and is pretending to be a cat. We think the champagne may be responsible

1.59am: The HMs are still awake and full of beans. We're off to bed though, so thank you, goodnight and sweet dreams

Day 13 round-up: Bye, bye Jasmine!

A shock eviction, an even more shocking nomination twist and a blindfold boxing match - that pretty much sums up Day 13 in a nutshell.

The day started like any other eviction day, with the housemates talking about nothing more than the night's festivities. Apart from Casey of course, who had a thing or two to say about her favourite subject. Can you guess what that was? Two points if you said Lee.

Luckily, Big Brother distracted them from eviction natters with a superb game of blindfold boxing. Divided into two teams, the celebrities took part in a BB quiz by punching the right answer. The blue team - Ollie, Sam, Casey, Dappy and Luisa - were eventually named victorious, winning themselves a lovely steak dinner.

The big drama came in the evening, when the lovely Emma Willis returned to throw out another unsuspecting housemate. After revealing that Jim had been saved by the public, Emma returned to announce that it was Jasmine's time to skedaddle. The news was a shock to all, but not as much as what came later, when Jasmine decided to save Casey and Linda from eviction this Friday. Who saw that coming? Not us.

As the House tried to digest the evening's events, it wasn't surprising that Lee took Jasmine's departure the worst. But it was Casey who took the brunt of his blues, as he told all who would listen that Casey played an instrumental role in his beau's demise. Sounds like sour grapes to us.

With the force that was Jasmine removed from the House, the housemates united as one and spent the rest of the evening enjoying a few bevies courtesy of Big Brother. And for a very short while, the gap was bridged between the oldies and the young ones - but how long that'll last for is anyone's guess...

Tonight on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side - Thursday 16th January

Are you still reeling from Jasmine's exit from the Celebrity Big Brother house? Recover with another great episode of Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side tonight, hosted by the ultimate calming influence: Emma Willis.

We've also got a spectacular roster of guests for you. First on the panel is CBB royalty Denise Welch, as well as a fan favourite from last year's Big Brother, runner up Dexter Koh.

And as if that wasn't enough, there's also cheeky presenter Will Best and the one and only Jet from Gladiators, Diane Youdale!

How could you possibly miss that? You'd have to be going to a wedding, or something. And no one has a wedding at 11pm, so head over to Channel 5 instead.

8.03pm: Morning! You'll be unsurprised to hear that the housemates are still catching some serious Z's. Bless their little faces

8.28pm: Lee sleeps on his back. Everyone else sleeps on their side. To be honest, there's probably nothing in it

8.49am: Lee has contorted into a VERY uncomfortable position.. but it has brought him closer to Luisa. Oh Lee

MrsH

10.09am: To be honest, the HMs could well be conked out for a while yet after last night's post-eviction brouhahah

10.20am: The lights are on - and so's the hot water! Jim's already up and making breakfast, so delighted is he by this development

10.29am: and are talking about last night. Jim reckons it was "the night from hell, really"

10.40am: pours salt on his cereal. A mouthful, a grimace and the air is filled with furious blue language.

10.58am: Liz is contemplating who'll go on Friday as she munches an apple. It's a bit early for that, Liz

MrsH

11.02am: It's a sombre House. Liz - "It's raining. I wonder if it's raining everywhere" Jim & Ollie: "Only over this House"

11.14am: After last night's various disagreements, HMs are generally milling and muttering without focus

11.25am: Lee's in the tub, on his own after Jasmine's departure. It's not all bad - Liz is perched on the edge and chatting

11.30am: Sam and Casey talk about Lee who seems to have put a few noses out of joint last night. He's talking it over with Ollie.

11.42am: Lee tells Ollie Casey 'has a gameplan' and managed to get Jasmine evicted. Well - that's one way of looking at it.

11.58am: Lee's got a blazer on, and is eating a peach quite intensely. "You look like you've been made redundant" says
