Day 12 was all about democracy, or the lack thereof.
The housemates had a very rude awakening, at 6am would you believe, to be asked the easiest question ever: do you want to go back to bed? Funnily enough, they did, and off they went.
Luisa and Lionel had started to go a little stir crazy in the aptly-named Most Annoying Room In The World, finding common ground but losing their marbles at the same time. Upon their release, they joined their fellow housemates to vote somebody into jail. They voted for Luisa, and this time she couldnât escape.
Meanwhile, Ollie decided he was ready to be Dappy. "Itâs the swag" he said, uncertainly. Well, Celebrity Big Brother is all about trying new experiences, but assuming an entirely new identity is taking things a bit far. It was mostly a success, although his attempt at Dappyâs accent went around the world in 80 seconds, veering wildly between Mancunian, Texan and several other far-flung places. It was certainly better than eating crusts found inside the toaster, as Ollie had done earlier.
Then, a bombshell. Big Brother informed the housemates that this democracy wasnât quite as democratic as they'd thought. They were asked to vote for who they thought The Decider had been. Well, who would vote Linda most boring and then vote Lionel and Luisa into the Most Annoying Room? Jim, of course! The housemates voted unanimously and guessed correctly. Consequently, they failed the task, and that meant measly food rations rather than a luxury food budget.
Sam and Linda had already had a little grumble about Jim, and the failure of the task didnât increase his popularity. That said, their complaints included him "trying to be friendly" and "trying to be funny", which seemed a little harsh.
And the bad news didnât end there. Luisaâs antics in the Most Annoying Room earned them further punishment - the loss of beauty products, hot water and electrical appliances - and this was too much for Lionel. Famed for his cheeky smile and calm demeanour he may be, but this time he really blew his top. Lionel Blair? Lionel Blaaaaaargh, more like. But Lionel is nothing if not a professional, and later in the day he and Luisa found time to kiss and make up. Lovely.
Later, Ollie and Luisa auditioned for their own TV cooking show, which was every bit as delicious as it sounds. And that led the housemates into a nice, cordial evening. After the recriminations of the morning and the fireworks of the afternoon, the evening was full of love.
Will the happy family vibe last? What do you think?!
