Day 11 task: Lionel and Luisa locked-up
Day 11 task: Lionel and Luisa locked-up

If there’s one thing guaranteed to upset our housemates, it’s taking their food and drink away. But Big Brother is a tough taskmaster, and did exactly that.

To win their food back, they were invited to sit on a futuristic game show set and answer a series of questions. Big Brother would, in each case, go with the majority decision. This started badly, with the housemates choosing tasteless slop over hot spicy curry

Things went from bad to worse for Linda, who was voted Most Boring Housemate and punished by being covered in paint and told to watch it dry.

The bad news wasn’t exclusively for Linda, however. Lee was told he was up for eviction, but that wasn’t true. He wasn’t impressed, either way. In between all this, the housemates had to vote for their dinner: Thai takeaway or pizza. They plumped for Thai, and the resulting meal was described by several housemates as the greatest meal ever. Not like celebrities to go in for such hyperbole...

Later in the evening, the housemates were asked to vote for the Most Annoying Housemates. The winners, or should that be losers, were Luisa and Lionel, who were sent to spend the night in The Most Annoying Room In The World. The chairs are too small, the tables are wobbly, and there are a disturbing number of alarm clocks.

There was, of course, a twist. This wasn’t a democracy at all. The only housemate’s votes who were being counted were Jim’s. He knew this, but the others didn’t and occasionally he had to throw them off the scent.

But that did at least explain why two people who had nominated him for eviction had been voted Most Annoying, and Jim’s arch-nemesis Linda had been voted Most Boring. It always makes sense eventually.

12.53am: Ollie and Casey are sharing a bed, which just reminds us how similar their hair is

12.56am: Luisa's in the Diary Room, getting something off her chest. This time it's not the bra she flung over a camera earlier

1.05am: Lee and Jasmine update: still kissing. A lot

Day 11 round-up: A democratic house

We had a rather glum Jim on the morning of Day 11, when heawoke to find bare cupboards and an empty fridge. But before you go thinking there were some hungry cameramen in the night, it was actually part of this week's shopping task. In order to win back their food and a luxury budget to boot, the housemates had to form a democracy and vote on various scenarios, with the majority vote ruling.

The system favoured some more than others, with Dappy receiving a message from band mate Fazer, while Linda was treated to a face full of paint for being voted the most boring. But it was Lee who took the biggest blow, when he was told that he would face the public vote this week.

Of course, there's a twist. Lee isn't actually up for eviction. And there isn't such thing as a democracy. The decisions came down to Jim's vote and Jim's vote only – but ssh, the housemates don't know that. That's our little secret. You can get a full run-down of the task by clicking here.

So all in all, a pretty action-packed day. But as the Democracy task rumbles into Day 12, will the other housemates suss out Jim? And what will they have to sacrifice in return for a bit of luxury? Stick with us to find out.

Tonight on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side - Tuesday 14th January

The Bit On The Side family is having a bit of a partial reunion tonight as some solid gold friends of the show gear up to enter the studio, ready to unleash their opinions.

Children's TV favourite, Dave Benson Phillips is in the building bringing fun and games along with him, no doubt. TV's Emma Kennedy is popping along, her normal-sized face well up for telling us what's what in terms of in-House action. We've also got entertainment hero Christopher Biggins along for the ride, with all the silliness and sauce that promises.

On top of all that, CBB royalty Dame Judi James is coming down to Borehamwood to analyse the housemates from every angle.

We're rolling out the red carpet – join us at 11pm on Channel 5 for the whole shebang!
