came back to much going on

Celebrity Big Brother 2014 bosses have warned Evander Holyfield after the boxer told Luisa Zissman he suggested homosexuality can be cured, and compared it to being ‘handicapped’.

The pair had spent almost all their time in the house together thanks to the series launch twist, which saw the housemates being paired off and handcuffed together until further notice.

However, former Apprentice contestant Luisa became uncomfortable with Evander last night when she asked him whether there are any gay people in boxing, leading the heavyweight champion to reveal his opinions on same-sex relationships.

After Evander said he thinks they “ain’t normal”, Luisa attempted to end the conversation – which had not come to light until it was aired on Channel 5 this evening – but he proceeded to imply that homosexuality could be ‘fixed’.

The transcript of their chat, as aired in the latest highlights show, is as follows:

Luisa: Is there any gay boxers?

Evander: Yeah, I’m sure there is.

Luisa: Is it public knowledge?

Evander: Ain’t no-one came out and said they were.

Luisa: I think it’s really bad that no-one stands up and says it in the sporting industries. I think it’s good to be open about that because it’s normal.

Evander: What would be good about it? That ain’t normal.

Luisa: We shouldn’t have this conversation. No, let’s not have this conversation, it won’t be good.

Evander: The bible let’s you know, that’s wrong, that’s right.

Luisa: That’s just the way some people are.

Evander: No, it don’t make no difference. If you were born and your leg were turned this way, what do you do, you go to the doctor and get it fixed back right.

Luisa: It’s not about being fixed, it’s aboutâ€Ķ that’s just the way that you are.

Evander: No no no no no, you mean to tell meâ€Ķ

Luisa: I really don’t want to have this conversation.

Evander: I’m not mad, I’m just sayingâ€Ķ

Luisa: You don’t understand, I don’t think it’s an appropriate conversation to have in this house, honestly.

Evander: All I’m trying to tell you, you know how handicapped people are born, you can’t say because they were born that wayâ€Ķ

Luisa: You can’t compare, of course you can’t compare someone that’s gay to someone that’s handicapped, it’s not a choice.

Evander: Yes it is a choice, come on, that ain’t the way nobody is made.

Luisa: I’m tired. I don’t think people have a choice in their sexuality, or they would be unhappy.

Today, Big Brother called Evander to the Diary Room to caution him about offensive language, but stopped short of giving him an formal reprimand.

“Before you entered the Big Brother house, the rules regarding unacceptable language and behaviour were explained to you. Last night, in a conversation with Luisa, you expressed the view that being gay was not normal and that it could be fixed,” explained Big Brother.

“While Big Brother understands these are the views you hold, they aren’t the views that are held by a large section of society and expressing these views will be extremely offensive to many people. Do you understand why?”

“Yeah I understand why, I forgot about the thing,” Evander answered. “I was just telling her my opinion, but it’s not like I was gonna mention it to anybody else, that was just our conversation.”

“Big Brother does not tolerate the use of offensive language and must therefore warn you to consider very carefully the effect expressing such views may have and the harm and offence you may cause by repeating these views inside the house,” the all-seeing eye continued. “Do you understand, Evander?”

“Okay then,” said Evander. “Yes I do.”

Day 3: Liz Against The World

Celebrity Big Brother loves nothing more than a good, healthy debate. Debates need opinions, and our housemates have opinions coming out of their ears. Tonight, the housemates discussed everything from charity work to animal rights and guess what - it was Liz against the world.

They talked about endangered species and Liz said she’d rather pandas were extinct than kept in captivity. The others disagreed. They talked about meat-eating and Liz said it was ethically wrong for people to eat animals. The others disagreed. Even when Liz discussed her charity work (she’s putting two Bangladeshi girls through school until they’re 18), she was immediately asked how she justifies the venom in her articles if she considers herself such a humane, ethical person.

Celebrity Big Brother had actually started quite well for Liz, with Dappy looking genuinely distressed when they were uncuffed on Day 1.  She also had a nice chat with Lionel and Ollie on Day 2. But since then? In the Building Blocks task, she claimed her job was to be controversial. This went down spectacularly badly and the other housemates wanted to know how she’d write about them after she leaves the House. It was a question she struggled to answer.

Furthermore, during the In Your Head task, Lionel admitted that Liz would be the first housemate he’d evict if he could, and Lee voted Liz the worst dressed. After the debate, Liz sat quietly with Jim and Linda, but as they chose to discuss their many mutual acquaintances from the 1980s, Liz had little to contribute.

Part of the issue could be Liz’s partial deafness. In Big Brother 14, Sam Evans said he often felt isolated from the group because he couldn’t hear everything they were saying. Maybe Liz is suffering a similar fate, as the housemates have made very few allowances for her hearing problems. The good news for Liz is that Sam went on to win, so there’s still all to play for.

Day 3: The housemates grant three kisses

Things have certainly been hotting up in the House tonight and we're not talking about the central heating.

We can exclusively reveal that we have had our first CBB 2013 kiss. And our second. And third. That's a smoochtastic hat-trick.

Dappy took his second bath of the evening and this time he was joined by Luisa and Jasmine. Not content with a simple soaking, the threesome indulged in game of truth or dare. Secrets were revealed, Luisa twerked and Dappy snogged the rubber duck. This is not a euphemism. Our first House kiss was between the boy from N-Dubz and a bath toy.

Next it was the turn of Dappy to dish out a dare and he suggested Luisa and Jasmine lock lips. Not a pair to be beaten by a boy, the girls gave us House kiss number two.

Dares got saucier with Luisa showing off her mouth skills and Dappy threatening to get his 'baby's arm' out again, before the trio pulled the plug and left the 'hot' tub.

Meanwhile in the bedroom the smacker we've all been waiting for finally happened. Lee and Casey did some kissing. Quite a bit of kissing.

So Day 3 produced three snogs.  What can we expect from Day 4? We'll keep you posted.

Day 3 round-up: Housemates' freedom comes at a price

The third day dawned with half our housemates still shackled while the remaining celebrities got used to going their separate ways.

Luisa and Evander kicked off Day 3 with a bit of nail pampering, although the one time boxer wasn't entirely convinced by his apprentice's treatment of the tools of his trade.

Ollie had plenty to say, putting the world to rights with his partner in crime Lionel before speaking lucidly about his sexuality with Luisa and Jasmine.

The three remaining tethered pairs were given the chance to ditch the handcuffs with the Tangle task. Lionel and Ollie earned their release.

Big Brother revealed the six housemates facing the public vote.  Half the housemates were able to breathe a sigh of relief as Casey, Lee, Dappy, Liz, Evander and Luisa became the names in the frame.

Later in the evening we had our first kiss of CBB 2014 and it would seem that  kissing was catching. Dappy got the ball rolling by puckering up with the bath duck before Luisa and Jasmine locked lips. Not to be out done, Lee and Casey did some serious smooching in the bedroom.

As the day drew to a close, Dappy wandered around the House releasing a stream of consciousness and attempting to get the statue in the garden to come to life, Jasmine and Luisa pondered with Lee as to what Day 4 may bring while the remaining housemates attempted to have an early-ish night.

Let's see if they wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed on Day 4.

8.10am: Morning, . HMs were woken at 7.54 by lights and startling noises. They're asleep again now. What's going on?

8.14am: There's something very peculiar, almost other-worldly in the garden, in the rain.

8.30am: All quiet again in the bedroom. It's as if the disturbance before was part of a weird dream from another dimension...

8.43am: Casey's asleep beside Lee in a position that is sometimes referred to by way of a cutlery reference. Are they married yet?

9.04am: Nothing happening apart from snoozery. We have a feeling that's about to change quite soon...

9.20am: Lee and Casey () update: Lee now has his arm around Casey as they sleep on, probably dreaming about one another.

Tonight on Big Brother's Bit On The Side: 6th January 2014

G'day, CBB fans! Cancel your evening plans if a television's not involved. You don't want to miss out on seeing our star-studded panel this evening. You'll be a laughing stock if you do!

Tonight sees ex-housemate and Aussie acting hero, Ryan Moloney (aka Toadfish from Neighbours) return to assess this latest batch of celebrity in-mates. What's more, Ryan's bringing along a special friend in the form of Alan Fletcher, who you may know a little better as Erinsborough's Doctor Karl Kennedy. Soap opera royalty times two. Glorious.

On top of that pair, we've also got hunky, dishy friend of the show Matt Johnson onboard as well as everybody's favourite brain-analyst, Dr Pam Spurr.

If you haven't already wiped your diary clean in preparation for this monumental television event, we despair for you. We really, really do.

Get involved from 11pm on Channel 5!

10.38am: HMs have made first contact. We are not alone. Check it out:

Day 4: The UFO task arrives in the garden

Intergalactic! Planetary!

Before they'd even woken up, things were a bit weird in the House. Flashing lights and weird noises greeted housemates at 0754 hours today.

From there, things only got weirder as Big Brother turned on the lights, announcing that aliens have landed in the garden of the Big Brother House. That's bona fide aliens – the type that come from another planet. Mega!

Handily, the aliens may well fancy testing our housemates in an abduction type scenario which will provide us with a double-whammy. Firstly, we'll get to be entertained by some traumatic celeb experiments and secondly, if the HMs perform well, they might earn themselves some decent grub.

That's what you call an intergalactic, win-win situation. Cosmic!
