I am quite excited about seeing the film next week (taken the day off work, which I always do for Bond).

Anyone who knows me knows I love a Bond film. I know they are not everyones cup of tea, but I love seeing them at the cinema, this time I will see it in IMAX just as I did with Skyfall.

I put the word out to my mates a month ago and I have a posse joining me.

Fortunately I don't need to hire a tux

The best thing is that work are paying for it as it is considered a training day.

 I can't think why.

Still busy and they moved me course to my birthday week, so the time off planned is now, well, unplanned.

Oh noooo Bummer

He's my ideal Bond.  Loved the panoramic shots.

The car....I want it.

Yes, I enjoyed it too, apart from one small bit, but I can't spoiler it, let's say the bit where Bond makes use of his timepiece!

But yes that car is awesome and apparently the basis for all new Aston cars.

There was one particular European location that I loved (although the opening scene was rather good too), but the sight of those 2 cars....I can't think of a better place for a nice little drive

Also, I liked the cast.  Hinx just looks the part to a T.

'Burd, you're going to enjoy your birthday trip to the cinema

Cosi, I have put a little review in the 'Films' thread, you may want to read it and add your comments.

I agree, that european location was very nicely shot. I loved the way the 'meeting' played out and yes, Hinx was very menacing. I think when Bond and Hinx met it was a good scene and one Craig played very well for me.

The brief interplay between Bond and the older woman was nicely done too.

We were discussing the hype about the 'older' woman on the way home.

She's 51.  I was expecting some OAP!

Looked gorgeous, and stood up well next to Lea Seydoux and Stephanie Sigman

I can't get over how much Rory Kinnear looks like his dad.

I'll check out your review too

I would have to check (I have avoided almost all talk and review of the film) but was it said that it's the first female Bond has had an interest in that is older?

Has to be a sign of the writing maturing and reflecting modern society and it's views.

Yes, Rory is looking more like his Dad now that the hair is thinning too.

I think it was something like that, yes.

What astounds me is that they'd think that Bond would just shack up with some airheaded bimbo.  The man is uber cool (esp Daniel Craig ); I'd have thought brains with beauty would be a priority rather than the age issue.

Talking of brains and beauty.....hence 'Madeleine Swann'!

Yes, I would imagine that age is not an issue for Bond. For him if there is an attraction on any level that would be enough. I think we need to consider that in his line of work death is round the corner and as such any physical attraction is carried through as it could be his last.

Can't ever see that happening as he would be in his 50's by the time Bond 26 is filmed.

Live in hope, Cinds - Sean Connery was 53 when he did Never say never again.
