I can think of a lot of talentless people on tv and they've never been on a reality show
'Jade and others rocked the TV Luvvies boat...'
True.
True.

Oh.... god....sits....on....hands.......
She was a reality tv person, she was in OK mag and Heat a lot for being a bit thick....She made thick people feel great about themselves and the middle classes feel extra splendid, but mainly she just left most people cold....
And now she is dead...Do I feel sad? Yes, I do for her kids? But no more than I feel for other people in her situation that do not have her "earning power"....

erm the People who did Orville and Spit etc spent years working clubs etc to build up their fame, just becase the acts are dated now and don't appeal to us is irrelevant. The likes of reality TV stars couldn't do anything to entertain, the only entertainment ( and admittedly I am sadly entertained by it) is staring in slack jawed wonder at their stupididy, egocentricity and strange obsession with getting a surgeon to cut them up and add/remove bits to order.
I liked Jade when she was in BB, I liked her spunk after BB and I liked her resilience after the stuff that went on after CBB.

I couldn't stand her.

I used Jade as example....not because she died, but because the 'TV whingers' that complain about talentless peeps taking over 'their' screen use her as a scapegoat.

Exactly...Popular TV...Emu nibbling at Parky was popular at one time.

An example of what? By and large, contrary to belief most average people couldn't have given a monkeys left testicle about "poor Jade" TM or her plight...
I don't bother with Sky news anyway cos it is an extenstion of Fox news in America (or right wing bullshit) but I did hear that they were running "breaking news" tickers about goody..... God knows that is sad!
Orville sang some great songs tho, or was that someone else

You asked!!!!!!!!
Perhaps My OP was'nt as clear as I saw it in my head..I am an Older person, that used to watch 3 channels of an evening before the National Anthem and bed....
On TV then, and some would like to see now, were the same old faces..TV people, to be exhaulted and admired...(some with little or no talent).
All I meant was, some of these 'Luvvies' pop up on screen and in the press to lament the changing times....

My dad simply adored her ...................IMO - (and my dads) - Millicent Martin was a bit of an old hag.
Lionel Blair...Equity Card, it should have been a red card.
I've been racking my brains here to remember who Millicent Martin used to appear with ..............it was Ronnie Carroll ..........i think she used to prance around in floaty dresses while he sang and played the piano.
And some folks have the gall to moan about BGT ...................we used to put up with a load of shite in the old days.

Quite possibly ..................they weren't exactly a particularly talented pair though were they?

My Dad painted the outside of Kathy Kirby's house, she didn't pay him, so he got some tins of black paint & chucked em all over the front.

Just looked it up, they were married for 5 years in the 60's, I would have hated to be their neighbours
