Yes! Get the board back at once. Unless the shirts are still dripping with water they are not too wet to be ironed. The heat from the iron will dry them.

4 is a lot - I cannot manage one blouse these days without fainting from the effort.

Yes...one must never get the iron out until there is a mountain.....and then one must start with the easy ones ie..tea towels, bedding, napkins....shirts, trousers, frilly blouses, pleated skirts should be shoved to the bottom of the mountain until they have gone out of fashion......
