living rural I dont have the option of other means of transport and you will always get the ones panic buying that really dont need the petrol like they did last time

I've got a C90 filled to the brim.

We've got it all worked out here in Manchester... i'm seeing huge queues outside Greggs, everyone seems to have this idea that we can run our cars on cold pasties

Luckily, I was down to fumes on Tuesday morning, and I filled it past the 'full' on the gauge, (£50 worth.)  And then within 24 hours, THIS happened.  I walked up to the retail park today, (2 miles away,) as it was sunny and I just fancied a walk with my friend, and both petrol stations had what looked like a couple of hundred cars queueing for each!  SO glad I filled up the other morning.  I still have 95% of a tank left.  

I can understand people panicking if they were down to say, a third of a tank, or less, but if you have over 60-65%; and it would normally last a week or so,  then I wouldn't panic... just chill and do your everyday thing, and if you're passing a fuel station over the next few days, fill it up to the top; if the petrol station you go to has any left!
