I'm fine. Hug It's just that my midwife team have been really rubbish and haven't done any basic checks like taking urine samples and measurements and I've had a major battle about getting something done for my SPD. I just don't feel confident in them at all so I have requested to be given a different team.

Crying is normal. What you have been through is inexcuseable! Do NOT waver! How dare they treat you like they have been. Didn't they get your history mixed up with some else's. BIG nono! Hug

Aw, don't. Just explain what you thought they should be doing and ask if there's a reason those checks aren't being done. You don't have to be inflammatory. The advice about a list if good, so if you get flustered you don't forget what you want to say. Hug

like some here have said write all you concerns down so you remember exactly what you want to say. Your blood pressure should be taken at every anti-natal appt. I know that they don't weigh you as much if any anymore and yoursample should be checked everytime aswell. You have done the right thing in raising your concerns. Good luck Thumbs Up And heres a Hug to make you feel better.

Just spoke to a lovely midwife who's based in Halifax and in charge of all the teams. She was really understanding, very apologetic and said I was perfectly right to complain. She said has said it sounds like some training revsion sounds appropriate for the midwives I have seen and has assured me that measures will be taken. She has also arranged for the area consultant midwife to visit me at home who will talk through my birth plans etc and I have been assigned another named midwife from an alternative maternity team which means I can still see a midwife locally for routine appointments and she will continue to oversee my post-natal care. I feel so relieved. Thank you all for letting me moan and for all your good advice. I probably wouldn't have done anything about it if it hadn't been for you lot. Hug Valentine
