Sorry, but it just is. OK, it's probably not helped by the fact that I am now the size of a small continent but I'm sick of the heat already and I want my ankles back.

Never mind you will soon be back to your normal slender self..
You are right, it is. Luckily for me I've lost nearly three stones in the past 7 months so I'm not feeling as uncomfortable as I might have been last year
Queenie I know that feeling.
I had my boy in July....my face and feet were like meely puddins.
Stay cool..have you got a fan?

I've got a fan in the bedroom but not down here. I'll send hubby to get me one out of the attic when he gets back. It's really close here now. I look like Shrek at the moment what with the sickness and the swollen everythings.
It's gone cold here, sea fret has come in.
ssssssssssniccccccccccce

awwwww Get a bowl of cold water and sit with your feet in it. I admit it isn't a good look - but it cooled me down when I was pregnant over a very hot summer
My daughter was born in July...I feel for you, it can be a nightmare.

Awww, I also had a July baby and remember how tortuous it was... I used to put bags of frozen peas on my swollen feet and hands.
Damp some tea towels, wring out, fold lengthways a few times and put in the freezer. When they've been there an hour or so, take one out and lay it around the back of your neck. Works wonders in cooling you down, especially if you have a fan too!

Cold water over your pulse points on your wrists is cooling too... ..run them under the cold tap for five mins or so.

Weather forecast says it will be cooler by tomorrow.
The outside of our house is being decorated from Thursday onwards so I expect it will be chucking it down with rain!!

Oh you poor soul, have you got a hot water bottle?. If so fill with chilled water, and put your feet on it. Will cool you right down.
I feel your pain. Am in the same boat. How long have you got left to go? I'm down to the last two weeks now.

Ooh, you're due any minute then! How exciting! Do you know what lavour you're having? I've got another three months to go, not due til 30th August, so that's my summer gone.
quite cool up here in the NE compared to the last few days anyway, have put a sweatshirt on

We're having our roof done at the moment and the minute they cut a huge hole in it to put a new velux in it poured down for a whole week. We had nothing between us and the weather but a scabby bit of tarpaulin.
I'm optimistic about your pessimism.
I can remember having my daughter in 1976 n it was the longest heatwave we ever had,day alter day for weeks n weeks it was in the 80s n i was also working full time
Its people like you who complain about the heat that brings down the rain... Enjoy the weather matterfact its not hot enough for me

Hopefully it'll start to cool down here soon then. It's sweltering here in the Pennines, and that's not a phrase you hear very often.
Thanks for all the tips guys. I have tea towels in the freezer, a fan on the way and my feet are soaking in a nice cold bowl of water as I type.

But Pretty you have to allow for the fact that Queen is very pregnant, it must be hell. Bad enough for me, having hot flushes.

I LOVE hot weather me,probably cause I am a Biker, I spend the entire winter wishing for summer, and HATE sumer days that are dull and or wet, I see it as a wasted day,
I woulnt complain if it was hot n sunny EVERYDAY,
if I win that lottery I will NEVER see a winter again,
