awwwww Get a bowl of cold water and sit with your feet in it. I admit it isn't a good look - but it cooled me down when I was pregnant over a very hot summer

Awww, I also had a July baby and remember how tortuous it was... I used to put bags of frozen peas on my swollen feet and hands.

Damp some tea towels, wring out, fold lengthways a few times and put in the freezer. When they've been there an hour or so, take one out and lay it around the back of your neck. Works wonders in cooling you down, especially if you have a fan too!

Cold water over your pulse points on your wrists is cooling too... ..run them under the cold tap for five mins or so.

Its not all that warm up here. If the weather forecast is right then cool weather should be down south tomorrow or thursday.

Weather forecast says it will be cooler by tomorrow.

The outside of our house is being decorated from Thursday onwards so I expect it will be chucking it down with rain!!

We're having our roof done at the moment and the minute they cut a huge hole in it to put a new velux in it poured down for a whole week. We had nothing between us and the weather but a scabby bit of tarpaulin.
I'm optimistic about your pessimism.

I can remember having my daughter in 1976 n it was the longest heatwave we ever had,day alter day for weeks n weeks it was in the 80s n i was also working full time

I LOVE hot weather me,probably cause I am a Biker, I spend the entire winter wishing for summer, and HATE sumer days that are dull and or wet, I see it as a wasted day,
I woulnt complain if it was hot n sunny EVERYDAY,
if I win that lottery I will NEVER see a winter again,
