Max came home with his results slip and headed out again immediately to spend the day fleecing his mates for pennies playing poker in the park.

Daughter is in year 10 and has had some very good interim results too. I'm really proud of both of them...only another 3 years of this until they both finish 6th form!

Well my granddaughter lives with her dad,  so is probably still in her bed! But seriously,  I  think she also had to go and check in at the college of her choice (she got accepted for 2), so maybe that is what is holding things up.... fingers crossed.

My cousin's twins had to sort out which Sixth Form colleges they were off to, depending on grades. Luckily Max can go straight back to school! We've another 2 years until we face the uni/college nightmare.

On the plus side it's the first time he's seen the early side of 8am for bloody weeks.

Congrats to your boy Cariad

I hope everyone who's done their GCSEs are celebrating atm.

My neice is on holiday and a friend picked up her results ... we have to wait till she gets back tomorrow to find out how she did.

Congrats Cariad!

I was at work today with my bessie mate who was pacing around waiting for her daughter to text her her results.    my mates hubby made a rash, ill thought through promise whilst she was revising to give her £50 per A*, £20 per A, £10 per B..      And it was him who had taken the day off work to go up with their daughter to get her results.

First text came through, from the daughter..   9 x A*s, 1 x A, 2 x B's...     my mate = v v v proud mum (she cried, bless her)..

Second text came through = proud... but slightly traumatised Dad..    asking my mate to reason with the daughter on his behalf & let him pay in installments!

hahahahaha

we both texted him & told him to get himself down to the bank & pay up!   (will teach him to make rash promises without discussing it with my friend first)

Dirtyprettygirlthing

I'm knackered!

I've been signing people up for sixth form all day...... mostly a nice job..... but awful when you get the ones who come without the right results and are just hoping you'll be nice to them and let them in anyway
