Please note that there is an unintended consequence when the owner of a Group blacklists members from the Group.  When that happens, an alert is sent to the blacklisted member, telling them that they are banned from the Group that they didn't even attempt to join.

Please note that this is NOT the fault of the Group owner, it's a software issue, and we have duly noted the issue and will be making a change.

Yes but it was only put there after the shit hit the fan.  The point was when it first happened the person who sent it did not know it happened, then the next person to do it knew fine well what would happen.

Which group is being talked about?  Is it through Explore->Groups?  I can't find anything.

Can't imagine wanting to pay money, so l can get some kind of perceived status, and then go out of my way to blacklist or exclude people.

Ok, what I don't understand about this blacklist thing..why is there a need for it at all when you can set your blog/ profile settings to private/accepted buddies only? And you can easily deny any applications to join your group without the need to have blacklisted that person? Or am I missing something about the whole blacklisting option?
