I would say it is rather boring. I am happy to hate and avoid cunts from afar, unfortunatley because of shitty software and rather rubbish moderation, the row has brewed up again.

Well I'll still opt for that TBH ...........good or bad I want all FM's posting on here ..............it was a community ..........now everyone is all over the place. I enjoy seeing posts whether I agree or not.

I don't get it - you gonna blacklist someone, man the fuck up about them getting a message telling them so.  "Unintended consequence"?  It may well be unintended but that doesn't make it bad.

If I start a group I couldn't give a toss if anyone I blacklist knows about it.  Why the fook would it?  The blacklisting is the issue, not whether someone gets a poxy wee alert telling them.

Yes it does make it bad ... anyone can ignore or blacklist another person if they want nothing to do with them, but it is nasty for that person to receive an 'alert' advising them of this fact ... It's not 'lame' blaming it on forum software if that is what is causing these 'alerts' to issue ...

I don't know what posts/threads have disappeared as I only got here about 10 mins ago. If they've been removed or deleted surely there was a fair reason for it. I've occasionally noticed the Mods/Admin are given some flack here but personally I think they're very good and take just the right tone.

I've noticed that some people who post on here don't seem to care about Forum posting guidelines - maybe they don't read them. I've been a member of many Forums over the years and all good Forums have good Admin who know when to step in and make decisions that's good for the whole of the Forum and not just a few.

It is sad IMO that sub groups have formed ..........never mind folks - I'm sure they'll miss the riff raff before too long.

i dont know about anyone else but ......... I feel that all these sub groups have been soooooooooooooooo detrimental to this forum. Prior to this we were a community of very diverse individuals and that was all good IMO. Forming sub groups outside has really and truly sounded the death knell.

I'm just not feeling it on here now ...................I dont think I'm alone there either.

The simplicity of the previous ga ga (and Ch4) forums were infinitley preferable IMO. I dont like all this 'do you wanna be in my gang' etc.

Absolutely YR ... plus I'm not sure if it's just me, but has the foul language been upped a few notches recently ....? I'm no prude, but I've seen the the 'f' and 'c' word used quite regularly now and it's not ... tasteful ... to say the least ...

For me, it's not "I don't want you in my gang" mentality that makes me blacklist someone.  It's more of I KNOW they are going to make sly digs and try and start trouble.

I belong to a few groups - Rockin Recipes for one - and I really don't see the problem with groups.  IMO, it's just like the BB housemate fan groups.  Most of those groups don't appeal to me because I wasn't a fan.  No biggie.

I'm not bitter that I've not been invited but ..................................why the eff start them in the first place? Hi Shar   I also agree about some of the language used here which wouldn't be allowed on some Forums. I'm old enough to know that for some people certain words are just part of their every day language, and every sentence language but it gets to the point when you wonder why they can't find anothewr word to express whatever it is they're trying to express. There are millions of words to choose from when anyone talks or expresses their feelings about something, for some it just seems easy, or lazy, to use the same words repeatedly

Yeah, the groups aren't the problem...it's the purpose of the group, in my opinion.

It's not the setting up of groups that I'm asdverse to but ..........why not just start a thread on here? Or am I being stupid? Why is it all so fragmented?

I have a fairly wide lexicon of profanity.   I can do Chaucer if you like. 

It's pretty much the same thing, except that you can post clips and stuff that just tend to clog up the forum.  A lot of the groups are pretty specialised too - there is an organ transplant group (although it hasn't been posted in for ages) that not many people would be interested in.

The same with blogs - I haven't blogged in about a week, but it's mostly moaning aobut my husband or dialysis.  It's more of thinking out loud than actually something you want comments or opinions on - if that makes sense.

Soozy some of the groups here have been here for years, I found the Rockin Recipes Group by mooching around one night & just joined by pressing the join group button. Not all groups are by invititation you just click a button. I've joined the collectors group, the book club group. Look under groups and see what you like, then join.

It's just another part of this cloud thing that people can try out - I'm not in any groups at the moment but if there was one I was interested in then I'd probably post there. But it wouldn't stop me from posting here too.

From what I'm reading the main issue here seems to be people taking offence at being "blacklisted" - for whatever reason that may be!

I think if it's a fan sorta thing....I can understand it, I've joined a lot of band things on here.  I'm a real music fanatic so if (if?!) any of the bands I like end up posting stuff on Groupee that would be acers.

I read a good interview with a singer I like on here the other day (via the latest blog activity on the far right of our screens) and because of that met a couple of our American friends exchanged a sentence or two  That's a good thing.  I'm really up for that.

Well TBH ...................if people want to set up individual groups of course that's ther perogative to do so but surely to God I'm not on my own in seeing how this BB Forum is simply falling away through lack of responses.

As I've said before ......there really is no reason to divert away from this forum ..............just start a thread.

Am I being thick or something? That's what we did before didn't we? I really and truly dont know where anyone is anymore with all these sub groups and nooks and crannies .................added to that I understand some FM's can be blocked.
