Similar to Ickles...   they had a leavers lunch, which was formal..  but without booze.   Then a few weeks ago they had their "prom" (only it was called The Leavers Ball).    It was a black tie affair.. .   Ickles dress was about ÂĢ90..    but I know the other girls dresses ranged from ÂĢ20 up to a couple of hundred quid.   twas all taxi's though.. no limo's..

and yeah..    it ended up messy!

She ended up at an after party round a classmates house that had an outdoor heated pool..   all lit up with coloured lights.     and 30 drunk 18 years olds in their undies in it.

(& yeah I know..   the kids parents are obviously short of a brain cell allowing drunk teenagers into a pool..    Thankfully I only found out about it afterwards, when I already knew she was alive & in one piece (apart from her knee - she slipped on the steps down to the pool & bashed her knee in)

hahahaha...   when I read it I sat here wishing someone had hurled over Ickles Head of Sixth..

In fact...   I would be quite happy to break my vodka embargo & neck a bottle if it meant I could have the pleasure of doing the hurling

Hope all goes well tonight Aimee x

we had nothing either ....  just left and legged it as fast as we could get away .... I hated school with avengence   but

wouldnt have denied or missed the Lads Prom night a few years ago ... was a fab night for them

I think as long as you stay in control of the/your budget  it can be as expensive or inexpensive as you let it ...... dont remember it costing me a fortune .....  was a black tie do and I organised a limo that we shared between 8 of them ......  as the pick ups and school were very close being a small village the Limo driver agreed to take them for a 20 minute ride .....  as the hire was to carry under 18 year olds  there was coke in the ice bucket instead of champagne - I had bought a magnum bottle of inexpensive champagne and he let me swop it when he arrived - that was the extent of their alcohol until after midnight when another parent organised an over night camping do for them

didnt have facebook then but one of the teachers was capturing the whole event and when he saw me at school not managing to get  pics because of how many peeps had turned up from the village to watch the arrivals he let me have a copy on disc on the Monday ...........  tis a lovely collection to look back on

looking forward to the pics tomorrow Aimee
