and i have 8 girl's all in their finery decesending on my house, i will be choked with perfume and hairspray

I really don't get all the fuss though, when i left school, we just left .....................

Miss Aimee's dress does make those on My Big Fat Gypsies Wedding look small  her fake tan has now died down so that crisis has been avoided BUT she is still going with the knee length basketball boot;s, she say's she would break her neck in heel's  she is the only girl i know that could wear a big posh dress and have boot's on underneath and still look stunning

i'll post some pic's tomorrow

I agree with Ditty though, it's probably best you don't look at all the photos - my sons chose the ones I saw, very carefully.

I've got some of her friend's on FB, so pics i really don't want to see pop up all the time  it's all quiet at the moment, they've all gone too get hair nail's and make up done IN THEIR JIM JAMS

My daughter doesn't know there is an option you can select that takes away peoples ability to tag you in photos!

I know I should probably tell her about it..    for her sake (& for my sanity)..    but I haven't quite got round to it yet

Aww I'm a bit jealous of your daughter at the minute   I wasn't allowed to go to mine (only one of 2 people not allowed to....the other was my best mate ) and I had to listen to talk of all the dresses and watnot for weeks before it.

I bet they're all bursting with excitement come tea time!  Hope they have a brilliant time and it's one of those nights they'll remember for years to come (for all the right reasons).

Ells

Growly Jnr thinks her prom is next weekend, but she's not sure and is very bemused by all the fuss, like me.  We were amazed by how seriously some people took the prom at the end of Year 11, and how much money some people spent.  But the sense of hysteria seems much less for the Year 13 prom at Jnr's school.   I can't understand why it's such a big deal nowadays - it's just another piss up with people from school

I don't get the fuss either tbh, i offered to pay ÂĢ150 for a dress but her auntie offered to buy her the more expensive one and she has took over it since then  if i had too guess, i'd say she has spent nearly ÂĢ600  it's a sit down meal and then dancing till 12, all that money for 5 hrs. i have said as much too my daughter, it's just a competiton too see who can out do who

Bugger me gently!  Growly Jnr bought a dress in the House of Fraser sale for 30 quid, and her ticket was ÂĢ20.  She said that she would brush her hair in honour of the event, but that's all she's planning to do    She had a leaver's dinner a few weeks ago, which was a formal sit down meal, but most people got really pissed, inlcuding one girl who threw up all over the Head of Sixth, and covered her in vomit from head to toe

she wouldn't have had all that money spent if it was me paying, her auntie has gone WAY over the top with it, there's a limo coming, a photographer, her dress was ÂĢ250, ÂĢ50 for the shoes, fake tan, nails and make up done  professionally. hair coloured and hair extensions put in, the list goes on and on, like i've said i'll be glad when it's over, oh and the auntie has put on a fancy dress party for her and 30 of her mate's tomorrow night

Can't wait to see the pics of all of them in their finery. We never had anything like that when I left school, not even a yearbook.

Still it would have got heavy carrying around a stone tablet for everyone to engrave

LOL   the pics will be tomorrow as i don't know how to do it, she still isn't back from having her hair and nail's done yet, she went at 8.30am

I'd better put my heel's on so i don't look like a midget in the photo

*start's pacing, it look's like rain*
