Me too Renton  and at least it went out on a high. And in a couple of months time we have BB starting again, lets hope it's as good.

I understand what you mean Renton......although I am not sure if it is the programme i will miss or the fun it engenders on the forum  But I am hoping that another channel might take it over..... fingers crossed.

Oooh i was chatting to friends in USA and they sed BB USA is totally different and v popular - its competative and no phone votes.
We need a brave new broadcaster - like SKY or VIRGIN perhaps - to take the reigns and bring us a brand new format.

I can't wait for it to be over now...the whole format has got too old, and the people that go on there are not half as original as they like to think they are, same old stunts and same old fights.

The summer show seems a long way off......

So true Renton,first thing I thought of when I awoke this morning.No CBB tonight.Then gloom sets in.

Its a terrible come down aint it - huge excitement, buzzing activity, i'm watching and chatting all day. Then ....

I want a new, fresh start - a new broadcaster, 24hr Live Feed for which i wud happily pay !!! The USA do it soo differently and so shud we cos our format is rubbish. Here's to the future - why can't it work?

I love the USA BB prefer it to ours they treat it as a game and are pretty ruthless

one thing i really didn't like now i  ponder the show, was the references to things we hadn't seen, there were a couple of clips on the show last night which meant some thing to the  hm's but nothing to us.

ch4 had far too much control over the whole thing,i know it's been a creeping control for a few years now, but this year it really was just the viewer being shut out  and having to take what we were given,suspend our  desire for a more truthful format and be grateful for the snippets.. GAHH SPIT..

It doesn't have the same social impact as the summer one. This time of year the TV is better. There is football and horse racing. BB is often an oasis in the middle of nothing in summer.

I know what you mean Jackson............I don't recall seeing that clip of Vinnie in the DR having a strop with a sweeping brush.........I watched every single HLs show but maybe I wasn't paying attention

   yes, that's the sort of thing i mean teqs, there were mentions of other things too,which  sort of explained some of the relationships and upsets etc. i can't be too precise now because i've forgotten what  they were...

I'm not really looking forward to the summer show this year.....last year's show was a big mess thanks to C4 and I can't see the final BB being any better this year.
Like many, I love the US version and all the alliances/ disagreements and machinations that go on.
No public voting, because it encompasses three time zones AND US BB contestants are aware that it's a game and don't expect to become 'celebs' when they leave

Same here jb, I mentioned the other day that I read in the paper that there was a hilarious moment that was edited out where Jonas managed to convince Katia that polar Bears freely roam the streets in Sweeden, it was never shown though...

Ever since the show became a magnet for meedja wannabees the voting has served no useful purpose. I wish someone would broadcast the early series - so "amateur" yet so much better because no-one did it with celebrity in mind.

We really should drop the public vote or if that really HAS to sty at least make it a vote to save and not to evict. The trouble is that that housemates who make waves get nominated and because they generally attract fans and anti-fans (who can bizarrely be anti-fans simply because they don't like the fans of the hm rather than the hm him/herself) whilst the blander hms don't attract that degree of passion so slip through the net.

Hms need to be free to be themselves without being conscious about their actions. The fact is the highlights allow C4 to edit at will.

It's been a really fun series, tbh i'm glad it's over now.

As well as missing CBB  I'll miss the interaction on the Forum. It's been like a family gathering with all the chatter  Although we all liked different HM's I never saw anything nasty being aimed at an FM because of different choices - if there was I missed it


I can't get excited about BB yet as I equate that show with wannabe's, I'll probably get into it though after a while, as usual lol. Thanks to everyone here for your company and points of view the last few weeks   will have to find out what's on tv to replace CBB

I agree with Yellow Rose and Bazille.
Yes, there is a feeling of "missing it" when it is over, but I agree with them that it is the sharing on here that adds so much to the pleasure.
Having nice people to share our views of BB with only adds to the enjoyment.
