You never know where it could take you too. My younger son did a year at Uni then decided to take a gap year. He stayed with friends in the US for 3 months then came back and got a job as an office junior in a small international financial advice firm.
During the time he was there, the office manager left and he got offered the job. The boss there has paid for him to do lots of studies and exams over the past 3 years and he is almost fully qualified now - with no student debt.
Not to mention he met his beautiful wife there
