I see this cleric is putting the blame on women for wearing tight fitting clothes or showing their hair, thus tempting men to have sinful thoughts, thus prompting Allah to cause earthquakes to happen to punish the people for sinfulness. That seems to be a summary of this article. Apart from this being scientific nonsense, this seems to be chauvinistic. It is the men who are having the sinful thoughts who should be the cleric's targets, rather than the women.

Re this debate on the two sexes, I just thought I'd mention.as no-one else has, that for the majority of non-gay people, one of life's main pleasures is making love with a member of the opposite sex.
