We all miss old friends, Tori, so you don't have the monopoly there.

As for new ones I think that's already been explained; there's bigger competition out there.

As with most things, stuff moves on and so do people.

I don't like FB and Twitter is not for me - maybe one day I'll change my mind and move on just as others obviously have.

This bit made me chuckle, because while your post is being all reasonable, it is surrounded by posts where Blizzie is giggling at 'old members'

I love the idea that all I have to do when a thread is going downhill in a hurry is rush in and shout:

"GEORGE CLOONEY"

and maybe half of you will leave the thread to die a natural death.

Beats locking a thread.

You're not being rude, Syd. You've got an opinion, and I have no objection to hearing it. If you're talking about that thread from the other day, I let it go for long enough for you guys to work it out, and then it heated up again, and was reported several times again. I put in a good couple of hours on a Saturday to read the whole thing (  , and made the decision I felt was best. I DO try not to do that, however, and very few threads are locked around here, so it seems a tad unfair to give the impression that it happens every time you disagree.

And, to be clear, I DID mean the thread--thanks for bringing that to my attention.

*calls off the hit man*

Whoa there!  What does that prove or solve..?

It proves Tori is NOT a 2011 newbie and that Nobodies from the old skool luffs me

Lots of people 'reinvent' themselves...sometimes to be the person that they really want to be Tough, but if genuine, worth giving a chance?

100%, but not when they come on here with that^^ kind of attitude however, Tori has since apologised, and I think the thread has moved on again now

mmmmmmm

everyone's worth another chance despite their ability to admit past and present mistakes and dishonesty, (however understandable?)
