Aimee - won't your house insurance cover the frozen food damage?

I know mine does.

But you can get it cheaper than that xxx

Yes, you can get basic insurance for contents up to about ÂĢ5,000 for as little as ÂĢ7.50 a month with some companies..  And for ÂĢ15,00 a month, as much as ÂĢ20,000 worth of cover... Agree with Eileen Aims.... it's a good idea to get home contents insurance... It surprises me to hear you havent got it.... as most landlords (private and social,) don't allow you to sign the tenancy agreement unless you have home contents insurance...  and it tends to be a condition of your mortgage to have insurance if youre buying your house.
