One of my daughters is dreading it this year. She doesn't want Santa in the house and she's prepared to forgo her presents. She says she can't understand how we'd encourage a stranger to roam around our house AT NIGHT while we're ASLEEP.

I've assured her that Santa is not a stranger to me or her father, and that I will personally guarantee checking his credentials (CRB etc.) and that her dad will stay up all night to make sure Santa causes no harm and doesn't steal anything.

I managed to say it with a straight face too

I can absolutely hear you say that.

PS. Still trying to find out my dad's jobtitle in English. I've had a bit on my plate the last couple of weeks.

Hahahaha Col, you're absolutely correct! The little madame uses my own words against me  Take your time with the other stuff, probably won't manage to do any research until the New Year anyway x
