Could you maybe try and make at least a little bit of sense during your next post please.

Serpently!

You are assured of a warm welcome in yorkshire moorland pubs, whereas I understand that you can be assaulted in that London for wearing short skirts.

Ahh, ok. thank you for that. Do you have room for one more until after cbb?

One more what?

I don't see the comparison, certainly not with the newcommer part of the two stories.

Always room for newbies. As you have noticed it can be a little quiet here. Lots of regulars have drifted away over the last year. I myself was absent from the forum for about 9 month, but CBB (crap though it was brought me back!

This forum is a bit like gods waiting room, you can see all the users on line yet nobody posts, are you all half dead?Or just nosey? What can I do to liven it up? I hate seeing BB forums die a slow death, it upsets me and saddens my inner soul.

It is more like a cult, or a pub on the yorkshire moors where people seem very wary of newcommers, I have even been asked outright in a pm if I am a real person, what the heck. I have hands I can type, so yeah, I guess I am real enough, to me anyway!

I have tried posting a few threads but no-one seems interested in anything other than who can get the first post on a new page or who can post the most smileys.

Maybe it was better during BB itself but going by the threads made during it, it doesn't seem that way.Perhaps the people in charge should delete the BB part of the forums name because It's how I found the place, and to me anyway, it has nothing whatsoever to do with BB and all it is is a laughing stock.

I'll give you all a week, buck your ideas up or I'm off.

People do disagree and argue their points stain, but, in the main, tend not to have massive 'barnies' like in some other forums. That suits me tbh, which is why I like it here, and chose to post on here rather than elsewhere. I want a bit chat/discussion, hopefully a bit of a laugh, not a row. If that makes me appear 'half-dead' then so be it. i also consider myself to be pretty friendly, chatty and welcoming to 'newcomers' whether that be on here or in rl in my village pub' in the Yorkshire moors!

So, I'm sorry if the forum has been a disappointment for you and that you find it a laughing stock, but for my part, I'm certainly not intending to 'buck my ideas up'

None, most BB forums don't allow that, does this one? If it does it seriously needs to reconsider that because in my experience it leads to nothing but trouble. I discovered this forum after doing a search about Aaron on google. I popped in and registered thinking it would take 5 minutes. Heck I think it was about 4 days later that I noticed I could log in to post. I posted about Aaron not sharing the money with Jay as I do on most forums because I think it is vitaly important that our BB winner is not a turncoat.

My feelings too.

I lurk a lot on DS, but am not a FM there and have no intention of becoming one. There was the occasional flame war on the old C4 forum, but because it was so busy, things would get forgotten pretty quickly. On DS, things can get rather nasty and then linger for a while...

I presume you mean the late, great Brian Glover...

wasnt he big daddy wrestler mans' bro?

or have i just made that up..?

I think you've just made that up.

Mind you, they were both professional Yorkshiremen, both professional wrestlers and - coincidentally - Shirley Crabtree had a brother called Brian...

I saw Aaron and Faye on Gaby and I'm sure he said he's got ÂĢ50990 in prize money..... looks like the split of the other ÂĢ50k didn't happen - so I reckon he should keep his ÂĢ50k.

I reckon he should have as a well if he hadn't gone on and on and on about morals and principles, then go on to make a gentlemens agreement with someone to split it 30-20 after hearing his boos and jays cheers.

Lol. If you consider Aarons behaviour with Faye as gentleman like...The man controlled her like a puppet, used her. He was more childlikewith his little stroppy tantrums than gentlemanlike..if thats a word!

Not all the way through, I think he avoided nomination the last few weeks whereas Jay didn't.so he would IMO have thought Jay had over taken him and could only have assumed that his booos were for the way he had been treatng Faye.Hence his idea to split the money in the afternoon of final night.

I don't think he did control her.   We didnt see it all...but from what we did see - she did a fair bit of controlling herself with her huffs and demands.   I actually like them better out the house and believe they do have a chance of a proper relationship.

Is this where we agree to differ then?

I never saw that conversation... but I thought it was Jay's idea?    Could be wrong - I just read that, didn't hear it for myself.

There are 656 pages of BB chat in the sticky thread   How much more chat was needed?

And yes, we do mostly get along here.....nothing wrong with that IMO.

A lot of these subthreads probably deserve proper threads of their own, but what the heck...

I think one of the things that became apparent after Faye's eviction was that although many of us were very aware of the hatchet job BB was doing in the HL editing, we had (at least on this forum) got rather blinkered to the notion that it was all against Aaron. Many of the HMs suffered from the edit's one-dimensional portrayals (though some - e.g. Jay - often benefited from it), and with hindsight, the HM who possibly suffered the worst was Faye.

I have to admit I was misled as well. We'd been bomabarded with the image of Faye being this poor, pathetic, easily-led, emotional car-crash of a girl that when she finally left the house, it was like having to cope with the revealing of an optical illusion: immediately we were reminded of this strong, funny, independent young woman who wrestled for a living and had been a competitive sportswoman for almost all her adult life.

In retrospect, it's difficult to understand how anyone ever believed Faye was being manipulated by anyone. As she snapped-back at Brian Belo's suggestion that she'd been brainwashed: "I've got a brain of my own, thanks."

Very interestig and I fear I'm not going to do your post justice with my reply, but Fayes mother and sister said on numerous occasions that when it comes to relationships and boyfriends Faye is infact easily led and makes a lot of bad choices in that department. My view is that Aaron exploited this fo rhis own gains.

Well, in their view. I think it speaks volumes that Faye (who was initially living with her Mother, and had briefly moved-in with Jemma prior to entering BB) jumped at the first opportunity to move away from both of them after leaving the house...

Faye's mum's was responding to the HL edits: she'd only seen the "emotional-car crash" Faye that the rest of us had been shown. Also, she seemed to be likening Aaron to a previous boyfriend almost entirely on personal appearance. At the very least her anti-Aaron stance seemed rather unfair, and apparently she likes him a lot now she's had the chance to meet him.

Jemma by contrast had her own adgenda. It's probably unfair to over-analyse, but there are obvious "issues" between the two sisters, and Jemma definitely comes across as over-protective. We weren't shown it properly at the time, but Aaron's description of their conversation where Jamma basically told him why he wasn't good enough for her sister showed pretty clearly that Jemma hadn't entered the house with an open mind...

Crikey.

I think it shows Fayes niavity with men by making such a huge leap with someone she has only known for 2 months in the most stressful of situtions especially after all the fall outs they had..Unless of course there are other alterior motives which would make it a very shrewd move.

Unless those motives were to stick 2 fingers up at her family to try and prove a point which of course with it being Faye it could be.

Alot of female family friends have those views on their female relations chosen partner, doesnt make them true. On the  winner's story show they said Fayes mum was getting on with Aaron ok.

Gem is a different story as i really dont think she always had Fayes best interests at heart. When she went in her VT mentioned a huge sibling rivalry i think this had a huge impact on her feelings towards Faye and Aaron's relationship

Oh and On topic, i think you may be feeling the way you are because this has become a very small forum so those who keep coming back and keeping it alive are those who really like it here, stands to reason they are going to have friends and like minded views?
