Anyone more low in life form than those that steal from charity shops!

(Apart from rapists & Kiddyfiddlers etc)

You know what I mean.....

I manage a charity shop...I set the prices real low ( we aren't Oxfam or the like)

There is a new wave of undesirables that claim to be buying to send to the poorer parts of this world...but in fact they sell the goods they haggle severely for in their own  shops for a profit !!
There are those that put clothing bins (made to look like the local authority ones) out for collection...to sell on in their shops for profit! <<<  Illegal to say the least...unsavory at the most!

Watch where you donate your over spill folks!

I always take mine directly to the shop too. Got a right old dab on last time walking through town lugging a big black plastic bag of clothes - I was relieved they were open as I went down quite early in the morning.

In our first week we had a couple ask us to sell them all our children's clothing in bulk to them ..at discount! I tell you ...we have some beautiful stuff donated...Monsoon, Oil'Lily, Laura Ahsley, Man Utd (proper ), Nike...Crikey too many to mention!.....so in total worth quite a bit...but I set my prices irrelevant of brand...gives some folk the chance to buy what they may never otherwise be able to afford!

So...I told this couple

1) to sell any lower would be be doing our charity a dishonesty!

and

2) What would I have left to sell to our community....they are our loyal customers! (and tbh...I don't mind a little haggle with some of them...when it's needed especially)

Beggars belief really!

Absolutely!
I wonder at the generosity of some folk....on the same hand it bewilders me what folk would be prepared to put in landfill! <<<< we avoid wherever possible!
