There appears to be some substance to Steve. And I detect some authenticity and probably a break away from his 8 kids...he doesn't seem like he's cocky enough to think he has this thing won....I don't think he'd want a sympathy vote.

He seems completely unremarkable to me. Barely any substance compared to the other housemates. He seems like a nice guy, but that's about it. He hasn't given me any reason to think of him as a potential winner.

He is dull and UNcharismatic.

I think it's still too early to say if Steve will be boring - unlike certain other HMs who've perhaps peaked already, Steve seems to be playing the "watching, waiting" game (although IMO the "Mr Cellophane" award should really go to Nathan at the moment...)


However, I really don't agree that he lacks substance - quite the opposite in fact. He's clearly got a lot of "life experience" (and no,  I'm not just referring to his injuries), and when he does contribute, it tends to be from a position of authority (for example, consider how the father of 8 gently mocked JJ's sexual talk). I think we may see him develop over the series, unlike quite a few of the others who will get repetitive and boring very quickly.


As for "unremarkable": I would say that he comes across as fairly "normal" - and in the BB house, that really is remarkable...

As for perfect Pete.. . from the moment he fell down those stairs he showed what a pratt he was... not to mention the God thing meaning he had to win or else..

shame the HM's didn;t put him up and get rid. .waste of space and still is...
