Apparently if the soldier fella falls on the ice he could be instantly paralysed due to his former injuries. How the hell did he manage to get insurance for the show? I couldn't get insurance to continue playing ice hockey after a stereo speaker from a midi hi-fi fell on my head! (don't ask )

Why though? Is it more to do with the idea that he deserves more respect than the likes of Kerry Katona who is there because she is famous for being a screw up? Or Jeff Brazier who is famous for being the father of Jade Goody's children?

TBH, ITV have really scrapped the bottom of the barrel this year as far as celebrity status is concerned.

Well I think the bottom of the barrel has been well and truly scraped for reality TV (Cheap) shows now....There's hardly any new drama or serious series on now.Weekend TV is pish!

As for 'is it right'....hmmm not sure in what way it couldn't be 'right' tbh? It's not like he's a former convicted criminal of a horrible crime or owt. He's got as much right to be there as the next person has (so has Kerry Katona even though I can't stand the incoherent twunt).

i would ask., is it actually wrong? Why shouldn't he be there if asked? Doesn't bother me in the slightest TBH ...........I quite like to see folks from all walks of life. It'd be pretty boring if they were all your 'OK', 'Hello' type celebs ..........the more random the better IMO.

All I hope doesn't happen is that he or other skaters who are clearly not very good, getting sympathy votes which could lead to some really good people going instead.

Not watching it Karma,a bit like Steve in last years BB who would've been kicked out much sooner as he was a boring fart.However he was a injured ex soldier so they,in the main didn't put him up for eviction.

I don't  think ITV would let him take part if he was that close to a serious paralysing injury,no matter the disclaimers etc by him.They just would not risk the bad publicity etc that would follow.

Do you believe that? I certainly don't - I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be doing it if that were the case.

Why don't you agree with him being on the show PP?  You've said you don't agree with him being there but havent said why.

Personally, I don't know... I see no reason 'technically' why he shouldnt be there, but I also can't understand why he is there, as he isnt a sports star or a celebrity.  But then again, I am increasingly seeing people on this show and I'm a celeb and Celeb BB who I have never heard of.  But they are usually in showbiz.  So why they have a soldier on there, I am not sure.

But what is the reason that you don't think he should be there?
