I personally think it is obscene.... but I guess conversely it's her own business Frowner

Being morally wrong and being faintly obscene are two very different things.

If she was a Christian, like Cliff Richard, and she had luxury houses and vineyards and stuff, like Cliff Richard, then she'd be immoral as a Christian since she'd be obliged to give most of it away, like Cliff Richard.

It's pretty obscene though.

Or the less financially intelligent peeps lending it to the other less financially intelligent amongst us. Glance

Indeed! Or the misinformed amongst us who lent the money to the less financially intelligent peeps who lent it to the less financially intelligent peeps, believing that they knew what they were doing, and yet all the time they were less financially intelligent than ourselves.

I'm torn on this one.

On the one hand I wouldn't appreciate anyone
telling me how to spend my money, but in times
when people are losing their jobs and homes it can be seen as tasteless.

Sorry to sit on the fence but I do really see
two sides to this.

But, as the Devil said, we need the loaded to start unloading.

Jobs are on the line because people have stopped spending!

I can see that people thing it's a little excessive as we're in a recession BUT, my Boss keeps moaning about the Credit Crunch, saying she's not spending when she is as I see ALL her Bank Statements.....it bugs me because I was promised a Bonus at the end of last year and never got it!!!!

At least VB doesn't try and make out she's skint, unlike my Boss who is a Millionairess in her own right...that's what makes me mad....just admit you HAVE the money to spend instead of using it as an excuse not to give promised Bonus! Nod

I think it's her own business...not that I'm a V Beckham fan by any stretch, but if you've got it spend it...why not.

What I find morally wrong is people who don't have the money but still spend extravagantly on credit cards and the like. My brother and sister in law are up the crapper since his business went bust yet she continues to spend money...the latest thing she spent was E100 on a dog kennel..for the dog they've only had a week and three days ago they were giving back because it was pooing where Roll Eyes

That was one thing that got me about the latest parliamentary scandal, one guy who claimed for his gardener is a multi-millionaire, and he wants ME to pay for his gardener?? Eeker

I just thought I would Google the facts about the bag, and here they are Eeker

"Despite having a price tag upwards of ÂĢ4,000 and a waiting list anything from eight months to four years long (unless you're a VVVIP), the HermÃĻs Birkin is nonetheless the handbag that most women would happily trade every other handbag for." Oh boy! More money than sense?
