I've got an ipod touch, I've had it for a few years and to be honest haven't used it to it's full potential.

I loaded it with music, plugged it in to a dock and that's about it.  Never changed the music on it again in that time until I got the iMac, I've reloaded it with all the music I loaded on to the mac.  You can do so much more than just listen to music on it, apparently it goes on FB and the internet and everything.

Rexi, the only reason I have an ipod touch is because a supplier we buy off does a thing near Christmas (because it's a quiet sales time) where they give away stuff like that with every machine we buy off them, we ended up with 5, I kept one, we sold 2 on ebay and did a lottery type thing for the lads who work for us to give away the other 2.

Thanks Cinds. I'm hoping to use it as emergency backup if my lappy ever goes down. I've had bad luck with laptops.

Hahaha - that's the biz

We got two because hubby hit some sales target or another. We got all excited and loaded loads of music on both, then they sat on a shelf for about a year gathering dust. Come to think of it, I don't know whatever happened to his ... it could still be on the shelf

Not much space for music on an 8gb of iPod Touch, IMO, once you've got a few games loaded etc.

Depends what you want out of it.  If you're not bothered about internet connectivity and games then an iPod Nano might be more appropriate.  If you want just music (and lots of it) and video (albeit on a small screen) but at quite a high price, then an iPod classic might be ok.  If you are bothered about internet connectivity then the Nano and iPod Classic are no good.

However, I've read many opinions that don't rate the sound quality of Apple products at all.  Many seem to prefer Sony, but they seem rather expensive for the capacity to me.

I've heard the Apple sound quality isn't as good as Sony or even Sansa either. Though sometimes it depends on headphones...

I was wrong.

I've now got 4 of the blighters ranging in size, the largest is 32gb - all full to the brim plus an iphone loaded with music too.

My handbag weighs a ton

Oh no poor Cosmo! Have you never heard of the word "delete"
