I need ideas...      and I know you lot have loads of good ideas.    I'm moving into a new house - starting from scratch and don't know where to start.  I'm starting with the bedroom.    I don't know what I want.    I like this bed - but I'm not sure about what I get to go with the slate colour.   I don't particularly want black furniture - I went through the 'black' phase when it was fashionable for living room furniture (the first time!) but ended up wanting a change long before it was done.  The doors are light oak, but the rest of the woodwork is white.. carpet is neutral.     I went in to the shop wanting 'light and airy and probably a metal bed' .... but I've not seen any I like except this one.

My style is more Sienna /Olivia.

The bed you have picked is lovely but to heavy and solid. I like light and airy, clean lines.

Light and airy was what I went for, erin!  Couldn't find a bed I liked.    Not sure whether to just go for the neutrally coloured bed and headboard - but it would probably be a bit boring.   The bed doesn't look overly imposing in RL mind.

I like the wall colour in the bottom one... I need ideas for the other furniture though (just bedsides and drawers)

That's sort of mushroomy colour, beige suede.

Have a look at Dunelm mill Kaffs, I was  in there the other day and they have some good stuff in furniture.

The bed is lovely but I think the colour is  dark and  heavy ,making the bed look very imposing ,neutral would be my choice. You can accent colour with throws and pillows, then its inexpensive to change in the future.Hope that doesn't com across as rude Kaffs.

Not at all, erin - that's what I'd thought - I was surprised at how unimposing it looked (in comparison to some of the ones with the HUGE moulded headboards)  Everything else in the room would be light and it gets a lot of daylight.    Trouble with the neutral shades they offered is that I didn't really like any of them.. they were a bit porridgey!   I really wish i could find nice metal or french style one at a reasonable price.   I love this.. but it's a tad on the expensive side   I'd have nightmares in it...

Its hard finding something just right. The first flat I bought, was bare for months, until I found the things I wanted.

Happy hunting Kaffy!
