Hopes and Fears by Keane is one of my recent(ish) faves, its a shame they weren't able to follow it up
I actually like "greatest hits" albums i know
Queen Vol 1 and 2 springs to mind

I like Hopes & Fears too Barns!
(& yeah, you're right.. they couldn't follow it up)
think they have got a new album coming out soon, will wait and see
So hard to choose just one but.... Songs in the Key of Life ( I love Stevie, saw him live.. wow! ) my next would probably be The Nightfly by Donald Fagan or Rapture by Anita Baker.
can't pick - too many but one of my favs from years ago is Parallel lines by Blondie
Graceland by Paul Simon for starters.
Van Morrison....Astral Weeks.
Dark side of the moon.

ooh yes but the nonsensical lyrics got to me in the ned, but great music.

I have the Stone Roses album on tape (& have since downloaded it digitally onto me iPod)..
(I quite liked the Second Coming too)
& yeah.. Leftism is one of my timeless albums.. I still listen to in the car (fab driving music)
oooh agreed and i've just purchased the second coming, again.
I would also throw in Oasis; definatley maybe. Not a huge fan of there's but that album is a classic.
I want to joke and say 'Now that's what I call Music', the first one.
But really I'm torn between Back in Black and Let There Be Rock, both AC/DC
Back in Black is slightly better IMHO
I have so many albums that I listen to all the time and it is an eclectic old mix.... Guns N Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden, Plan B, Imelda May, The Specials and many more....but the album that truly stands out for me and I return to time after time is 'Setting Sons' by The Jam.....brilliant album...every track is superb.
Back in Black is slightly better IMHO
yes.

yes.
I know, I am so torn, because Back in Black is the best album they did in the new era with Brian singing, but you can't beat Let There Be Rock when Bon was singing.
oh.
i misread it and thought we wer talking about amy...
i do apologise..
*feels a bit silly now*
*leaves...

Ticking away..........the moments........I love Time
I'd nominate Stevie Wonder -1976- Songs In The Key Of Life. Perfection.
That, or Marvin's Let's Get It On
According to my itunes I play those 2 albums the most.
i'd have to agree with songs in the key of life, but i'd also add, back to black, amy winehouse.
Great album but I prefer Frank. Was really impressed when I first heard that.
my mums fav is songs in the key of life, ive heard it so many times i know every song.
i love my music but 1 of me fav albums is dizzy up the girl the goo goo dolls and oasis whats the story morning glory.
It changes, but London Calling by The Clash has been a consistent favourite!
(What's the story) Morning Glory...
Hands down
Lionheart - Kate Bush
I listen to so many different types of music (even country sometimes), for so many different reasons, my life has been more like a compilation album or mix tape. If I had to choose one that has been a constant then it would be Miles Davis 'Sketches of Spain'.
(What's the story) Morning Glory...
Hands down
I did consider putting Definitely Maybe and/or Whats the Story ....
I went off them after these two albums.. but they are classics... everyone had them, everyone was singing them.. every song was a belter.
I worked in a pub and when someone put "Don't Look Back in Anger" on the jukebox the whole pub would stop what it was doing & sing it.
I'd have to say Quadrophenia - The Who, just brilliant
Hubby says Slade Alive - Slade
will prob think of more, can't really just pick one
oo just thought of one Bridge over Babylon - Rolling Stones
My two fav's "Hounds of love" Kate Bush and "Who's next" by The Who.
I'd have to say Quadrophenia - The Who, just brilliant
I've just bought that (again) on eBay.

It did go abit downhill after 2002, not only with Liams voice going to pot... but Noel also once said in an interview that he had no inspiration after those.

Hi Joe, did you get the LP? The cover of the original was brilliant it was like a book with loads of large black n white photos - brilliant!
Some art work on LP covers were very clever and brilliant! I think thats whats missing on CD's now
Van Morrison....Astral Weeks.
Definately agree!
Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run,
REM - Automatic For The People,
David Bowie - Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars.
