Hugs for Ditty
Ditty, im thinking of you and your family
oh... thank you... all of you.
but I am feeling bad for having an outburst in Suzi's thread... I've just got in from an afternoon & evening at my parents, with my family & my brother & his girlfriend, ... big chinese takeaway, charades, like christmas without the presents & the tree... it was, as my mother put it, "making memories" (which kinda floored me when she said that).
I've been keeping it together all day, and was in the process of having a little fall apart when I read this thread.. bad timing all round.
am ok now, have blown my nose & wiped my eyes, and am knocking back a large glass of rose & pulling myself together...
so, in a more dignified & fitting style..
RIP Suzi, healing thoughts to her friends & family, xxx
Very sad. RIP Suzi
Such sad news. I didn't really know Suzi Q but it's no less sad to hear of someone having such a tough battle.
RIP and my condolences to family and friends.

Im sure she wouldn't mind and we are one big family here that share everything
Oh that's sad I think it's wonderful that she was so highly thought of, I'm sure she'll be rembered as long as the forum exists
RIP Suzi Q

Aww, that's a shame Cosi, Suzi was a great FM. There really are no appropriate words.
such sad news today
very warming to read this thread and also all the messages on FB from past members - she will be missed - RIP and my condolences to family and friends
Hi Everybody,
This is Stuart, Suzi's husband. Many thanks for all your comments. They are much appreciated. Funeral is at 13.30 BST on Tuesday so if you pause for a moment then and think of her, it will be appreciated
I have found what might have been her last 'Tonight's eviction, this morning!' from 2010 BB - John-James and Josie one! I hope it's not inappropriate to post the link so soon but for those who never caught them, this is what made her the FM she was. Really funny lady! Love ya Suzi Q! Safe journey.

oh Stuart
I'm so sorry for your loss, and words are so crap at a time like this, but I truly do mean it. xxxxx
Condolences to you and your family Stuart, and I'm sure we'll all take time out on Tuesday to remember a lovely forum friend.
Just cross posted there Stuart. My deepest condolences to you and your nearest and dearest. A great loss to many others too, I'm sure.

I certainly will.
Condolences Stuart to you and the family.
Hi People,
It was always a bone of contention between us, was Big Brother the biggest load of TV rubbish ever, but you're right. Her eviction scripts were incredibly funny. I read them as she posted them. Sadly, once BB moved to C5 she was probably too ill to follow it. But glad to see the comments of appreciation from such a wide body of people. It won't be forgotten,
Stuart

Stuart, sorry for your loss, I just read the thread Xochi posted there and it triggered such funny memories!

In my case....yes, but a spade's a spade, your wife had the ability to make good out of bad.
She'll be missed
Hope you're as good as you can be at this sad time
Stuart I'm glad you got to see this thread to know what Suzi meant to us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you ~ especially on Tuesday.
Hi Stuart I didn't know suzi very well, but she sounds like a lovely, funny, wonderful lady. I wish I had been around at the height of her posting
I'll take a moment on Tuesday to think of her and all her loved ones, I wish you all the very best
Hi Sweet Summer... and everyone else,
But yes she was a funny, sometimes opinionated, wonderful lady. If anyone knows Terry Pratchett, Nanny Ogg is as close as you get to Suzi, otherwise... well you would know her from her posts. Even in hospital she had that spirit and had a bit of a low regard for 'baby doctors' (beginner doctors who'd tried to take blood or do other things and would be summarily warned off). She maintained that sense of humour right till the end, and I mean right till the end as in 2 days before she died.
But your thoughts are much appreciated - thankyou.

Hehe! I know I didn't post with her much but her posts that I did see bear this out. She seemed a fighter
Sleep well Suzi
Stuart, thankyou for coming in here at this very, very sad time for you. Suzi Q was a brilliant forum member: warm; funny; articulate; principled, and as bright as a button. My deep condolences to you and those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her in real life. l understand that she would have loved to have been able to play the harp, so hopefully this is appropriate.

HI Stuart... I can just imagine Suzi's comments about the doctors. I probably posted most with her in the Strictly threads - we were both traditionalists and liked a good old fashioned tango (not together obviously) with proper music. So sorry for your loss x
Oh KaffyBaffy
Don't get me going on Strictly. I was as much a fan as Suzi was and I'd bombard the BBC site blog with comments along precisely those lines. Mucking about with the music, as Len would say, mucking about with the steps. Mind you what's her name did quite a good job in the last series with the 'She had it coming' from Chicago. Not quite Catherine Zeta Jones but not bad.
And yes I also enjoy Dancing on Ice!!
All the best - Stuart

Then make sure you drop in on us for both of them later this year Stuart.
Hi Xoch - going Mexican or Aztec are we?
Yes I will post here on Strictly and DoI. Believe me, if you thought Suzi was contaversial, just wait until you see my thoughts. I love SCD and hopefully the new producer (the old one went to The Voice - and see how awful that's turned out to be) will take it back to where it ought to be!!
Believe me, I do have a passion about this!!

(I just liked the idea of a username beginning with X tbh. And I like to think I channel some of her qualities too.) But I'm looking forward to seeing you around here then. In the company of many of Suzi's great on-line buddies.
Sorry for coming to this late:
I remember Suzi's posts with much affection. Very sad news.
OK Xoch... I'll be back at SCD time, but don't expect anything on BB. It's even more of a waste of space on C5.... literally none of the UK press is taking any notice.. and for good reason! Sorry, but I wouldn't dare try to replicate any of Suzi's eviction scripts!
But many thanks once again for everyone's kind thoughts

Yeah. The BB faithful are falling by the way this year here too Stuart. It's just some of us are lifers on this programme. But I look forward to seeing you around here in the autumn for Strictly. Sleep well now.
Hi Aquarius,
This is Stuart - Suzi's husband. While your comments are much appreciated, I'm just curious to know how the news reached you - and only 6 hours ago. It's very obvious Suzi was much loved in this forum - and I take great comfort from that. But, while I am aware Suzi was a great TV fan and posted her views widely... and I would never want to hide this news from you, I'm amazed and honoured that it found you... but do tell me how!
Yours - Stuart
The opening post say's it was through the grape vine that is facebook Stuart.
Sorry Jenstar - but that is no answer. It wasn't posted on Facebook, not to my knowledge and even if it was how on earth did it connect to this forum? Is this the insidious ubuiquiteness of Facebook that no post, however personal, spreads wider than its intended audience? This is one of those disturbing and frightening aspects of Facebook that makes me think I am so lucky I never registered a profile. This is not to say I am not hugely and profoundly grateful for the affection and comments posted, but I am also profoundly disturbed if this news leaked from a Facebook post that is not connected to this forum. This is a serious security issue that this Forum needs to address and you as a moderator should be able to give me some answers on this.
Hi, Stuart:
First of all, please accept my condolences. As you can see, Suzi was a valued member here, and she'll be sorely missed. I can only imagine how difficult this is for you, and I wish you the best.
I'm a moderator also, but I happen to work for the company that hosts these forums. I'd be happy to address your concerns about forum security, but I must say I'm confused as to why you think this IS a question of forum security? Sounds to me as if Aquarious heard the news via another method, and rightly thought we might be interested, so she posted the news. Lots of our members connect via Facebook, twitter, and regular email.
Hi Jenstar - apologies for being so sharp. The opening post doesn't tell me much - except to refer to a member by the name of 'Ditty' who doesn't turn up in any member name searches and I can't find any posting on the site that refers to Suzi's death - only responses to that info, Don't get me wrong - I'm hugely grateful for the positive comments and support from forum members but I would still like to know who made the announcement within the forum.
