how spiteful is that Scotty Im glad you got it !!!! She must have looked even more mental to the person doing the audition.

Yep gyps..spiteful indeedy. ( of course I didn`t know that at the time) She actually looked quite insane. He was facing her and was at points but kept his cool. I looked then kept my back to her and carried on chanting while she was rearranging the furniture.

She dated David Tennant for a while. ( before he was Dr. Who) When he ended the relationship she went on a revenge rampage with him and anyone he was seen with.      She shouted at me for making him a coffee.

She wasn`t quite the full shilling then. I hear she`s better now but still fiercely competitive.

Btw, she`s a very talented director.

I got a phone call during rehearsals from a play/musical I was doing at my Rep theatre. It was from the agent of quite a well known singer asking me to audition (as a backing vocalist) for her tour. I said I couldn`t make it to Glasgow because I was busy in rehearsals. They arranged for the musical director to come through to the Rep and audition me at an evening break in the rehearsal studio. While I was chanting away, the associate director ( of the play I was rehearsing for) appeared and started dragging chairs, tables across the room..making a racket. It put me off, naturally.

Turned out she`d previously applied and auditioned in Glasgow for the same job.. and didn`t get it.

I didn`t apply and got the job.

There`s a lot a biatchiness in the entertainment world.

Don't mean to laugh but prrrffftt..Oh Scotty that made me LOL!

Showbiz must be a cut-throat business...

Tis rosie. I`m glad I`m out of it and only doing the occasional jazz gig with friends ( brilliant musicians) who I love and love me. Great times though, I wouldn`t change it.

YOU MADE TEN INCH COFFEE???????

I am now probably the most jellus I have ever been on here!

I did, sowwy Ditty. I`ll set the scene.

( to make you feel better of course )

I was sitting next to him in the Rep green room, as I did most days during that play, knees almost touching, chatting away about this and that. He liked my eyes, they matched the colour of the room he said.

I digress... he said he was scared of kettles and could I help him by puttting a spoon of coffee and a bit of milk in the mug next to the scary kettle, add hot water water and stir..thank you.

He was a young freshed faced unknown at the time. Very shy but quietly witty.
