aww i cant be bothered to rant again, im that angry ... Just some silly situation at work. I honestly exist in a lions pit when it comes the women i know.  They are grade A bitches. Its like training with the best of the best.

LONG story short this woman (also a dancer) phoned me up a few weeks ago and asked me outright if her daughter could cover me if i was ill or couldnt work. I was pretty gobsmacked then and said id bear her in mind, to get her off the phone.

ANyway needless to say i didnt contact her, she is ruthless and letting her cover for me would be like handing your job on a plate to her, she even asked me how much they pay me (so her daughter could undercut me).

Then, obviously as the daughter decided she haddnt heared from them so Plan A obviously wasnt working, she decided to up her game plan.

So there I am working last night, middle of my set and in walks, no not walks "SWANS in" In full cabaret costume, looking like we were all shit on her shoe, walks to the bar as bold as brass right through the middle of my dance floor, so everyones going ohhh er whats going on here then.  Walks up the the bar and hands them her card, then proceeds to tell them how its all been cleared with me and she will be dancing there   I walked off the dance floor and she introduced herself to me and asked me for any "tips" for when shes working there.

Me , my boss and all the staff were like this ....>

Im just blanked her and turned my back mid conversation and left her to it. SHe was stil there 25 mins later working her sales pitch when i went home.  My boss was told in the backroom in no uncertain terms that if she ever gets a call im out of there!  I also reminded him who her 'very very dificult' mother was, who used to dance there but got sacked and caused all sorts of trouble.

see.... told you it was a rant, cant remember the last time i typed so much. Feel free not to read it I needed to type it somewhere other than facebook where half the people on there are her mates!

ohh and dont thinks shes just some 'nice girl' that was under the wrong impression. Her mother and her are known for total ruthlessness.

When she was trying to talk to me and i turned my back on her and ignored her she shouted after me " probably not the best time to talk to you, your obviously out of breath".

My boss ran down the stairs after me like... who the hell is she

 That is so unprofessional Gyps.

Can you take any action to stop her doing this?

Bliddy Norah, thats shocking Gypsie

Well if its any consolation, she got nowehere  By her overly aggressive behaviour, she destroyed her own argument for EVER working there, very likely. You did exactly the right thing - not get involved, except to point out who she / her mother were.

Poor Gyps  However I reckon your boss is more likely to employ Russel Grant as a dancer then her!

actually no...   no snot at all...      sore throat, temperature, shivers, hacking cough and at one point earache.   but thankfully..   no snot.

However, daughter (she who brought this lurgy into the house, but has been better for the past week) started sneezing all over me in the car this morning & saying she was full of snot.

So I probably have that one to come yet...

*Jaw drops*

Sounds like a right little Prima Donna  Don't let 'em get to you Gyps. Money obviously couldn't buy her manners or charm.

Yes nosey, prima donna is the right word for them. They are shameless and if they want it, they go for it.

Story re the mother (this is just pure me gossiping now ) A few years running a really well respected dancer who organised a big weekend even in torquay asked the mum to teach.  The mum got in there, made freinds with her. The third year the woman was horrified to find out that woman (the MUTHUR) had contacted the hotel and arranged her own weekend. Totally crapped all over the woman who helped her without a second thought. She still didnt loose freinds, she claimed she could do it better and people supported and attended the weekend. Beggars belief.

FM

Not the same but something similar happened to me.

I got a phone call during rehearsals from a play/musical I was doing at my Rep theatre. It was from the agent of quite a well known singer asking me to audition (as a backing vocalist) for her tour. I said I couldn`t make it to Glasgow because I was busy in rehearsals. They arranged for the musical director to come through to the Rep and audition me at an evening break in the rehearsal studio. While I was chanting away, the associate director ( of the play I was rehearsing for) appeared and started dragging chairs, tables across the room..making a racket. It put me off, naturally.

Turned out she`d previously applied and auditioned in Glasgow for the same job.. and didn`t get it.

I didn`t apply and got the job.

There`s a lot a biatchiness in the entertainment world.
