I don't think we'll ever know who it was. The footballer concerned ticked the no publicity box and I would assume that anyone publishing or distributing his name would be guilty of at least contempt of court? Not that I'm an expert.

If these famous shaggers are so worried about their families' feelings, why can't they keep their trousers on? THEY are responsible for safeguarding their loved-ones' welfare, not the courts. How they can use them as a reason to keep their dirty linen hidden, when they didn't care enough about them not to cheat on them in the first place, strikes me as beyond hypocritical.

 

No court in the land should grant these injunctions - it may not matter now, when it's just sex and tittle-tattle, but what happens in the future, when one gets granted to cover up a scandal of genuine national importance?

But he has the financial backing to keep his name private. Do I agree with it? No. He should be facing the crap too.
