The latest in the 7 UP films (56 Up) is on on Monday. I am the same age as these kids and feel like I've grown up with them. Tony the jockey/cabbie has just been on This Morning along with one of the producers. Apparently 13 of the original 14 are taking part this year, in the past at various times some of the participants have chosen not to partake.

It should be good - I wonder what's been going on in their lives for ythe past seven years.

My names Soozy Woo and I'm a nosey neighbour

Brilliant groundbreaking tv

I agree ...............we get the flash backs but it's not always enough.

I love the little boy who was worried that his wife would make him eat greens and little Bruce whose 'hearts desire was to see his parents' who were living in africa.

ooooh can't wait!

I'll be watching the new programmes.

It'll be nice to have company . Don't think i'll post during the programme though as I don't want to miss any of it.

I love it - takes me back to my childhood - those three little girls from a very similar background to myself. When I look at the clothes they were wearing and the ribbons in the hair etc. it takes me back.

You've made me want to watch them now.  I might spend a lot of the weekend on youtube so I'm ready for Monday

I wonder what has happened to him this past seven years. So sad - at seven years old he was the brightest, sunniest, happiest little boy in the programme ..............by fourteen you can see the depression setting in. I so hope things are easier for him now - somehow though I don't think they will be

Who's your faves Yogi? I love Nick and Bruce (that's from memory) - I might do a bit of catching up.

I've only watched that 15 minute clip so far, but I think it's Nick I like - the wee lad from Yorkshire?

It was so sad. He seemed such a sweet and happy little boy. Something went wrong and he became a recluse. I think he recovered though. He went on to be a lib dem councillor or something if memory serves me right. I hope he's ok and will be in this one.

I loved Bruce from the moment he said "my heart's desire is to see my daddy". He grew to be a lovely man with a social conscience (IMO).

I like Nick too and my heart goes out to Neil, who seems such a troubled soul.

Can't wait to watch 42 and 49 later tonight.

That's exactly how I feel ................I was like .awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww - bles him - he was a troubled and awkward teen and young man too .......he did seem to come through the other side.

Watched it live and then Chatsworth on catch up.

There is a fine line between spoof narated documentaries and the real thing.

I think that we are entering the summer schedule of duff TV. Neither prog seemed much more worthy than an hour apiece. I think we got the message pretty quickly.

However, Peter was absolutely fascinating and how he evolved from being a well rounded politically aware teacher into someone unashamedly playing country music was surely worthy of an hour.
