You lot won't be but still....I need to share!  I can't cook, it's not like I don't try, I do but it always tastes like shit.  But I started back at Slimming World on Wednesday and instead of going for the same old meals I used to do when I was last on it I decided to try to be more adventurous so on Wednesday I did a gooooooorgeous chicken and veg stir-fry with thick noodles then yesterday a chilli con carne BUT that's not what I'm here to tell you about!  Today I cooked FROM SCRATCH a syn free BBQ Sauce and a to-die-for cheesecake.  I don't even like cheesecake but by god it tastes so good when you know you can't eat junk all day.

So I'll be having lots of BBQ sauce based foods for a few days with mini cheesecakes for afters

YAY ME!

BBQ Sauce on: Chicken, Sausages, Burgers, Steak, Chips, Kebab skewers and for dipping.  I'm sure I can find more uses for it though, give me a few days

Sezit they are from Slimming World so I am sure you could get a much nicer version but if you are tryin to watch what you eat then here they are:

BBQ sauce recipe

you will need
1 onion, peeled and roughly
chopped
1 tsp mild chilli powder
227ml/8fl oz passata
3 tbsp
artifical sweetner
4 tbsp balsamaic vinegar
1 tbsp worchestershire
sauce
1/2 tsp mustard powder
salt and freshly ground blacke
pepper.

balslmic vingar and worchestershire sauce provide the basis for
this great tasting bbq sauce thsat is perfect for a dip, basting a chicken
thighs or vegetable kebabs before a bbq, lady who gave me this recipe said she
has them on spare ribs and cooks them in the oven so she has bbq spare ribs.

spray a pan with fry light and saute the onion and chilli powder over a
low heat for 5 minutes until softened.

stir in the remaining
ingrredients, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes untill thickened.
check the seasoning before serving hot or cold.

I did it exactly like that but next time I'm leaving out the onion and using much less sweetner as it tasted a tad too sweet for me (I like my food spicy) but still very good for something that I can use freely.

For the Cheesecake:

Very simple really.  Melt 2 Alpen Light bars in the microwave for a few seconds and then mash them into your container then mix together a tub of Quark with 2 sachets of white chocolate options (or any flavour you fancy really) and spread over the top.  There was a lot of topping so next time I'll use a bit less Quark aswell but it was tasty!  10 syns in total or only 4 syns if you are using the Alpen Bars as Healthy Extras.
