If i offended anyone with my joviality on this thread i apologise. But please stop thinking i am Real. I am a relative of him, and he does what he does and i do what i do. He told me he had been banned on here numerous times and i came here to see what all the fuss was about. Judging on the comments here, i am getting the jist that any new member is the subject of the Forum "Mafia"  whereas newbies are subject to a mass " PM " debate-" who is this?"  "who could they be?" Stop with the paranoia and accept new members Ask yourselves the question " where have all the old members gone and why?". Again i state------"I AM NOT REAL ".. just a rellie.
If you say so .    I still found your 'joviality' on this thread offensive.

Lucky you Cologne..we are all different...Oh aye forgot that fact,no more buying sanitary  stuff etc! Well apart from the fact I had a some post menopausal bleeding and had to go to the colposcopy clinic for am internal ultrasound and biopsy.Ten years ago I had polyps in the uterus,so they checked me out to be on the safe side,I was fine.

Suzi, take a look at this Serenity Cream. After my op' last year I was having the most horrendous symptoms, hot-flushes every 10 mins or so, (so upwards of 100 a day!!!) night-sweats, anxiety etc. etc. etc. Researched loads on the internet, looking for natural stuff and this came out tops in the reviews by far. Tried it, and after just 2 days I was down to two or three flushes a day and have never looked back. It's a bliddy miracle in a pot

Hang on - what's this about sprouting chin hairs?? I've been growing a mini-beard/ hair out of my chin since I was in my early 20's and have to keep removing it about every 6 weeks. Is it a hormonal thing?

I'm hoping that when my time comes it will be an easy transition and follow after my mum who had no problems. But as it's me and God likes to give me things to moan about in abundance I'm not holding my breath

Soozy. I think that the menopause is the same as having babies. I mean that, most of us here have had a baby, but, it was a different experience  for all of us.So, we can only tell you about our experience which I am sure will be different to yours. I have just finished coming through the menopause, and it lasted 3 years. I was having hot flushes/sweats through the night all of the 3 years. In fact my OH kept saying he was sure my thermostat had gone. I also had a hot flush at 6 o'clock every day . In my handbag I carry my Menopause kit, which a lot of peeps have laughed at, hen have said what a good idea. It consists of, a new flannel, a fan, and some wet wipes. i still carry it with me, but I use it less and less, as I occasionaly get a hot sweat/flush. I hope this helps, but like I say, it's different for all of us.

I have one at 6 am on the dot every day - it wakes me up ...........along with countless others throughout the day and night (sleep disruption is a pain)

Thank you all for your advice ........Soops I will be looking into that cream ..........and all the others I will research!

Good advice Sezit.  I am reminded of some advice for MEN (if there are any or their relatives loafing around)

ADVICE TO MEN:
1. Shut up and don't try to problem solve.  You can't fix it, and you will only upset the female in your life by offering suggestions.
2. Just try to be as supportive as possible, and, when asked, help.
3. Understand that many women are experiencing the loss of what they consider to be the essence of a woman, and that is EXTREMELY emotional.

And alas poor Crispy, I knew you well.  A man of infinite jest (and inevitably poor choice of comedy opportunities) If you are not here by then:  Good luck and a Merry Christmas.

I've read this many times ..............in my case it really isn't the case at all - I'll be glad to have an end to it. I don't consider my child bearing capacity (or lack of it) to be the essence of my womanhood.

I like the idea of the fan sezi. My best friend has been going through the menopause for about 18 years. She is 2 years older than me and, along with some other friends, has been through the mill. I was quite scared of it, but have been very fortunate in that I get a tiny hot flush about once a month. I am so glad because I was determined not to take HRT, as I was determined not to take the pill. I don't want artificial stuff in my body if I can avoid it. I do realise that I'm a bit lucky and certainly my friends need it for one reason or another. The fan thing just reminded me of the two of us sitting in the office and her bringing it out every 5 minutes.

Too right Tooth Fairy! By the way I don't think we have met before, but that is very sound advice .

I'll drink to that....except I haven't even started yet and I'm as old as Noah's wife!

Sympathies to those that are struggling with it though. xxx
