It's OK i've got another job to go to, but it's such a shame it came to this, I loved working there when I first started, the staff were bril, I was making tons of money, in fact I'm earning even more now than when I first started, I mean Β£27k for a single bloke with no commitments aint bad, but then the MD made one of the staff as the manager, and I hate him, so does everyone else, he is rude, deaming to others, has no man management skills at all, and all our targets are unacheavable!, luckily I bumped into a lad I know who left our place last year and he managed to get me an interview at his place, had the interview last night, got the call today I was successfull, start in 2 weeks! He reckons I can earn even more at his company, what a bonus!

The revenue targets wouldn't have been set by your Manager, that would have come from the CEO/Board, there's nothing for a Manager to gain by raising targets as they would be harder to achieve and less chance of the Manager getting a bonus.

It's also very hard to make the transition from colleague to senior sometimes, too. They have to wear a 'new hat' with people they have worked alongside. Saying that though there's no reason to be Billy big bollocks and start being rude to people unnecessarily just cos they've got an extra few grand in their pay packet and can make decisions like when someone can go for lunch or have a day off.

Hope the new job works out.

I'm gonna work for a company that lowers companies business rates, that like a companies council tax. I met his MD and the office manager who were lovely, and they said that my mate had told them that I was trust worthy and a good worker and billiant at sales (all true), and on his recommendation they were prepared to give me a job. He reckons I should be earning at least Β£30 k plus, not bad for a single lad! You lot are the only people I have told I am leaving my job, oh it's soooo good to let it off my chest, cheers all!

I notice you've said that a couple of times, no it's not bad money for a lad in his 20's living on his own (also depends where you live).

Β£2200 take home is quite good money, is that mostly commission? If it is, then she's probably got the cream of the accounts. Not saying you couldn't earn that, but companies do quote their top earners when trying to attract staff, just bear in mind that it may take a while to get to that level (unless a lot of that is made up of basic).

Actually agree with Karma.  Β£30K a year for a young single lad sounds like a bit of a high salary, unless it 'is' on target earnings.  Most jobs would not pay that, as a starter salary to a young lad, unless you had worked for the company for a good while and had worked your way up and trained along the way, or if you had rather significant qualifications/a degree etc.  And I can't imagine that a company that just 'lowers peoples business rates' can make that much money.  JMHO of course.

All that said, I hope it goes well for you.  It just sounds too good to be true...
