Same as you Tina... Have a big clear out and get the decs up 1st weekend of December

I never put mine up until about the 17th. Just hope the builders are finished. I'm hoping work will be finished by the end of next week and then we're decorating.

 

The Woo's are renowned for drinking in the last chance saloon when it comes to Christmas prep.

 

Looking forward to snuggling up in front of the log burner - must get a toasting fork ....toast on Christmas morning would be luvverly.

How many can remember my post in a similar thread last year?

 

For those who can't recall, I don't own any decorations, I never have and in all honesty I probably never will.

 

But if I did have them I would put them up 22nd December and they would be down 27th December.

 

 

There are loads of trees up here already.  They started on 1 Nov!!

 

I'll have mine up by end of November.  I don't care if that's too early for some.  I love xmas so I'll be putting my tree up nice and early and then I'll hate taking it down afterwards because I love the cosiness of it all

As a kid, living with my parents, it was always done on the 24th December. Duration? - Twelve days of Christmas.

 

As an adult. having my mum living with us, a week before Christmas.

 

Now that it's just me and hubby we don't usually bother - unless we're having people staying.

As last year, I'm with EC on this one. Never had a tree, and we haven't bothered with decorations for a couple of decades.  The lerkal corp had trees n sheight up on Nov 1st!

Probably mid December - I don't like stringing out Christmas too long. 

About a week before the big day.  It takes 2 days to put them all up/out and I'm exhausted by it all.  They stay up until I can find a willing mug punter the time to take them back down - but it's usually around the 2nd Jan.

Mine will go up on sunday 15th this year.   The next Sunday's too close to the big day.   I like to leave the tree up for New year, and I'm out on New Year's day so it's down on the 2nd.

I've got one to put up and that is an experience in itself  

I will be in sync with you. I love my tree up but if it is up for too long it gets on my nerves.

For practical read lazy  

I don't know what day Crimbo is this year, but it will definitely not we a weekend job doing the decs.

Well................you asked  

1 st of december and it takes days but I love Xmas and mr stonks takes them down on the 12th day after xmas cos if he did'nt he knows I would'nt..

Mine will probably have to wait until December this year  as I am away at the end of the month visiting my bestie and we get back on 1st Dec so that's when they will go up...I won't be able to wait any longer!!! I am already contemplating putting them up next weekend so that I can watch Dr Who with the twinklies on but MrB says that is too early, even for us!!! I may work on him though!!

 

Ours come down around 2nd Jan....and by the 3rd I'll be wanting to put them back up!!!
