I know this one, it's because dandelions are a natural diuretic when taken, they help increase the amount of water and salt removed by the kidneys which increases the amount of urine passed.  (Although I don't think picking them makes this happen)

Stupid thing I believed until I was in my early 20's, was that sheep that lived on the Pennines had long back legs to help them when they walked up hill

Mr Cinds is a massive George Michael fan and I remember 20 years ago trying to tell him the guy was gay, he just refused to believe it, even now he insists George is only 'going through a phase' 

Cinds I was early teens when Wham were out and had absolutely no idea he was gay - I remember when I found out I still couldn't believe it - although looking back at old footage now it's pretty clear
