Got a phone call seconds before I was about to leave for the hospital this morning - my dear surgeon couldn't get his car out of his icy drive. So all his patients for the day have had their surgery cancelled until January at least.

Nah, it's just stiff. It only hurts when medical staff start prodding it. I had geared myself up for the op though, so it's a real bummer to have to wait all over again. Had to re-organise my Christmas especially, and now any plans I had for January will have to be scrapped as well.

It's OK. At least not having it isn't going to leave me in agony. And at least I'm not one of those poor people who will be spending Crimbo in hospital being genuinely ill.

Sorry to hear it was cancelled Demantoid... Mr Bazille was due to go in to day as well.... but they rang and cancelled his last Thursday!

LOL.... probably the same hospital Our phone call said they cancelled because of an emergency.... although how they knew they had an emergency 5 days in advance beats me!!

Let's hope you get your op rescheduled asap Toid and Mr Baz   it's horrible when you build yourself up for something you're not looking forward to and they cancel - it makes it worse in a way because if they went ahead, it would be all over and done with, now you've got to build yourself up again.

poor thing - doesn't seem a very valid reason - surely a surgeon could find some way to get to work
