Jen, I feel that this forum is not quite as comfortable as BBGF, but the UK Lounge has the feel of BBOT, but it may just need a bit of settling in. After all this place is only a couple of weeks old. Just let things sink in slowly, don't try and rush it.

Can I also say that I find the constant stream of smut, whilst i'm not a prude and sometimes indulge, very offputting. It's one thing for a thread to evolve into a bit of smut ut when threads are constantly started and are full of juvenile smutty post after post after post it is very tiresome.

i like to start at the beginning of a thread, post my thoughts assuming the last page is still on topic. in fact, i am making a conscious effort to do this. i don't bother looking at last page anymore to see who chatting about whatever. but my post may or may not be seen in context with last post and may or may not be a thread killer!

I'm not a prude either but I agree with what you are saying, ok in a lighthearted occasional sort of way but sometimes it seems to go a lot deeper than that. I mean there are some things that I don't feel are appropriate to share on a forum (ok, maybe I am a prude).

I also don't understand why people seem to want to only post in the threads that I deem quite nasty but not in any thread that is about good news or happy. I try and post in as many things as possible, especially if someone is giving good news ie Aimees Scouted thread.

As for the slippers, well the webcam is a bit fuzzy!

well said bozz, I think the majority of fm's feel the same. We do all need to stick together and not feel intimidated or made to feel that our opinions are worthless, cos the same old fm's put their tuppence worth in and you end up feeling stupid. I'm not saying that all the fm's that had been on ch4 for many years are like that, but unless you feel that you can fight and stick to your opinions, you feel as though you are backed into a corner, and ultimately don't want to look like an idiot, or a trouble maker so therefore quietly leave. We ARE the majority on here, and should make the decision that we don't care. Everyone has a valid opinion.

that is a very good point, i too am far from prudish, but give me strength..at some of the drivvle. maybe there could be a smut section in TT to satisfy the smut addicts!
