No, he was asked if he thought she was pretty and he told everyone why 
He thought he was being funny, but much as I disliked Bea, I thought that was uncalled for.
He's quite nasty and never tries to hide it. He sounds very bitter to me. I doubt he has any luck with the ladies because of his foul mouth and personality of an eight year old pretending to be an adult.
Do think that it was v unnecessary, as the other hms told him.

Yes he was being really really mean the nasty person that he is. Not at all sarcastic in any way. He really meant that she looked like a plant.
He also wasnt taking the piss out of the desperate HMs who hated her saying how pretty and lovely she was.

Actually, that sounded quite complimentary when I consider how he described his mum (and I know many people were okay with it, but I felt uncomfortable with his desciption of them both

I agree. I don't understand why he should only be allowed to be complimentary. If he didn't find her attractive, he's perfectly entitled to say so.

I didn't see it in the same way, a few hms said that she was pretty, I thought that they meant it, Marcus didn't think that she was pretty and tried to make a joke out of how she looked. I do sometimes think that he is v funny, but that one didn't work for me I'm afraid

I really do take your point on the fakeness of some of the housemates, particularly Charlie. Marcus would have been better, in my eyes anyway, had he gone to the Diary Room to rant about the hypocracy of Charlie (and others).

Bea liked herself... well.... from what i've gathered here on the forum... a majority of people think Bea is a narcissistic person and be honest, she didn't have many supporters here or in life. Nobody leant over the rails to shake her hand did they? She loved herself. If Marcus didn't agree she was anything special and then went on to explain at length his reasons for not thinking so, in his imitable way... *sigh* .... People's character's show in their faces and I don't think Marcus liked Bea's that much, for obvious reasons. People were pushing him to explain himself so he did. Not much different to Tom and whatshisname discussing Sophie etc and Noirin or other people doing the same thing to Marcus' appearance except Marcus wasn't bitching, he just didn't like her. Siavash politely said she wasn't his type. He didn't elaborate that I know of, it would be interesting to hear his true feelings. I don't think he likes her either.
I am on the fence with this one. because....... on the one hand, the remarks were rather cruel, but then again, I think MOST people have said less than complimentary remarks about HMs and various celebs (Katona, what a munter, Jordan, what a hag, and other such doozies.) We are virtually ALL guilty of being critical and cruel and mean occasionally towards SOMEone. However, we usually say it to our mate or partner, not in front of 2 or 3 million people on telly.
IMO, Marcus's comments were a bit below the belt yes, but to be fair, he is no worse than most of us lot and most of the people in the country, We can ALL be mean and insulting on occasions. Except me, I am bloody perfect, and don't you ugly smelly bastards on here ever forget it!
