but no highlights show and no live feed really does suck, just think of all that money they spent on doing the house up

I agree, they've totally lost the plot, maybe Ikea is lending them the furniture cos they're broke Big Grin

Just at a look at DS website and no mention of it there. So just another of the many rumours we can expect before it starts. Just found this:

BB facing 'credit crunch cutbacks'

Big Brother producers have been forced to make severe cutbacks to the show due to the credit crunch, it has been claimed.

According to the Daily Star, house designers have been instructed to follow a much stricter budget this year, resulting in a "basic and bog-standard" setting for this summer's series.

An insider told the newspaper: "In these hard times we haven't wasted money on expensive fixtures and fittings. If the housemates think they will be in luxury they'll get a shock."

Show chiefs have also reportedly scrapped the traditional practice of sending housemates into hiding abroad before the show's launch. Instead, it is expected that they will be holed up in Wales, Scotland and Devon.

The source added: "It's just another way of cutting costs."

Big Brother 10 is expected to launch on June 3 on Channel 4.

I can't/don't believe this to be true. If it's only on for one hour a week, all we're going to see are very edited HL's in which C4's favourites will be given unfair advantage, thus removing the option for people to decide for themselves when it comes to voting.

The public will surely see through this and just not bother voting, thereby defeating the object of the programme.

If it does turn out to be true, it will have the lowest audience figures ever recorded for BB - there will be absolutely no point in watching it!

Gel the sense of reason!!

There's no way BB would only be on 1 night a week - despite the bog standard basics the show has to be shown daily otherwise we wouldnt care about it! Plus one night a week for a whole weeks highlights then an eviction?? Noooo its not possible!! Not too bothered about BBBM, I do wonder about BBLB though? Shall we see the lovely George Lamb again???
