I've just put my new Smeg freezer on that I won in a competition with Birds Eye
I defrost mine every 6 months and give it a good clean have you tried putting bowls of hot water in and closing the door? Mebbe a hair dryer on it? and put some towels down to catch the excess water
Hair dryer and a sharp knife!

I love the name Smeg And you won it in a competition? Impressive....
No hair dryer I have a crew cut, but might dry the bowl trick. I turned the fridge freezer off before I left for work, but like an idiot I forgot to open the freezer door, left towels on the floor.
I boil the kettle and fill saucepans and put them in the freezer and shut the door
Just be thankful Jay is still in the house.

Sharp knives can cause damage if you're not very careful, as a friend found out when he punctured
one of the tubes! I favour a blunter utensil and lots of bowls of hot water!

No way should you EVER attack a Fridge/Freezer with a sharp instrument! If you accidentally fracture/puncture the cooling system no-one will touch it and you'll have to handle the disposal yourself.
Sprinkle salt over all the iced up surfaces and place bowls of hot water inside.
Have plenty of mopping up paraphenalia on hand.
I've always used a bread knife - I'm careful - maybe I've just been lucky - I don't hack at it like a nutter though - just use it for leverage!
That pans of boiling water trick worked a flippin treat, freezer done in less than an hour and a half, brill!
