Frodo I put the smiley after my "Mine is always right" comment to show I was only joking. I'm sorry if you were offended, as it was certainly not my intention.

I'd like Charlie to win. I think she's much nicer than Ashley. That girl cooked her goose with me when she ate all the chocolate during the dingo dollar trial. There were way enough for all of them. I went off her when she 'had' to speak to her mum instead of Charlie talking to her daughter. I'm sure she's been away from her for much longer than a couple of weeks when she was touring with that mediocre band.

It's just a bit of gentle irony. Sure they have that in Hickys.

I was only joking when I said I was always right - that's why I put the smiley after the comment.

Frodo, the joke is depicted by the  at the end of the post. If you're more comfortable staying in Hicky's chat corner, fair enough, but, it has to be said that a less offensive and more friendly forum member than Yogi would be hard to find in this internet jungle....Well, except when she keeps blooming going on that Denise VA shouldn't be in Strictly

I'd prefer Charlie because she's got a bit narky when she's irritated and/or hungry, or tired, or whatever else was giving her the hump.

I know it's important to keep up morale but I like a bit of realtime moaning and whingeing; no one can be upbeat 24/7 can they?

I think I meant she's much nicer than her character (?) on EE.

M'Lud! A ringer is someone introduced into a competitive situation as an individual who is there to make up the numbers, and yet is secretively quite gifted. Imagine someone who has represented HQ at a modest cricket level and is then introduced into the Roundhay League as someone who just "was rather good at school, but hasn't played for a while." They then go on to take a few wickets, score a few runs in a match winning performance. (Names have been changed) :smug :

Thank you, and  never let it be said that there isn't a single day when I don't learn at least one thing

It's usually not from me though!

This is like having my own little wikipedia

So, that'll be a little bit like recently when at my sisters and there was an expats v locals village charity football match. One of the expats said his mate who was visiting would like to join in but  he was a gooner, organiser said yeah no prob's all welcome, turned out to be Paul Merson!

FM
Indeed. In this particular case Paul Merson was a ringer. (The first time I heard the expression was in the motion picture, MASH! Remember them transferring a particularly gridiron gifted medical man from another unit?)

This has been a poor Im A Celeb tbh,   the list of celebs this year was poor to start with.

Ashley is lovely and all that, but in anyother year she would have gone home before the postcards, and Charlie...well, her open nastiness would have seen her hated by nearly everyone in better years, but she appeared to be better than she really was simply because of the poor lineup.

I dont think i'll watch the final, my heart isn't in it this time round, it'll be all look backs at their time in camp and them saying how much the show has changed them.

Good luck Ashley tho.

Nor me, but tbf I haven't seen that many episodes. She seemed to get a little irritated and exasperated with Helen at times, but who can blame her, she was in good company

FM

I want Ashley to win over Charlie ,Charlie annoyed me with her "Kiki wants to be Princess of the Jungle" line .I also think  she smiles through gritted teeth.

Ash has been the most honest of the two ,and certainly the most entertaining.
