Gillian likes to think of herself as a poor little waif - someone who is so feminine and helpless that she can't cope without a big strong man Hence the pathetic act with doctor Bob and the whole tarzan fantasy....
She also is completely deluded as she thought that her teammates would care and worry about her when in reality they, like us, can see through her act.
