A lot of comics dont write their own material.  I can write jokes but I cant deliver them to save my life certainly not to an audience.  She can.

Apparently most comics are not funny in every day life.

Yep also conversely put dom in front of a large harsh audience and he would probably die on stage because improv can only get you so far.  Different skills.
